It's a bunch of accusations that are provably wrong.

Has nothing to do with a narrative.

McVay said explicitly why he really liked Cooks game and based on the the production, he was right.

If McVay truly was a "fall in love" guy, Cooks would still be a Ram.

Worse, the accusation that he's a "fall in love" guy means that he puts his emotions over his evaluations as a professional coach.

We've seen the exact opposite.

Gurley's knee going? Out.

Cooks concussion issue? Out.

Goff regresses? Out.

I can see the criticism that he doesn't give players a chance to ride out the doldrums. I don't agree with it, but I can see that.

But a "fall in love" guy? Not even close.

And he's not a "new toy" guy, either. Circumstances and lack of production preceded each move.

And what is he supposed to do once production decreases and he and Snead are looking at alternatives... look for worse to avoid the "new toy" criticism???

Just makes no sense.

I see this team make personnel moves that surprises the whole league and eat dead cap like it’s grandmas fried chicken. The Rams under McVay and Snead have made some bold trades and cut players that huge were given huge contracts and guaranteed money just a year or two earlier. They loved the player and drove up with a dump truck full of money, but got rid of him when the player didn’t satisfy the coach and GM. Fickle is the word I would use here. Gurley had a known arthritic knee and Cooks had concussions prior to the Rams trading for him. They ignored that because they loved the player.

I believe that Stafford is better than the 2019-20 Goff, but not the 2017-18 Goff. Even with this trade, the Rams still need to improve the offensive line and with what, a second round pick and couple of compensatory third round picks? Role players Snead would call them?

Scoreboard.

Results.

I just don’t get it, especially for those of us who have followed this team for decades. We have seen the wasteland of the 90s, and the wasteland of 2005-2016.

What McVay and Snead are doing WORKS.

It may be messy, may be mistakes, but it WORKS.

Four winning seasons in four years. Serious SB contenders in 2018, and all signs now point to serious SB contenders in 2021.

I’ll post a longer point-by-point rebuttal to the OP in a day or two, but for now I’ll just point to the W-L record and say “Scoreboard.”

agree with that.

it is also true the Rams have been in the playoff 8 times since 1990 with 3 in the last four years.

messy, but works!

How about you guys actually try to address Mr. Poppinfreshpoints rather than label it worst post of the year and circle jerk each other with high fives :)

If Goff could get scutinized for every play he made surely our blameless GM who’s setting records with dead money and Pissing away top draft picks needs A little objective analysis don’t cha think?

He provided a laundry list of legitimate careless moves that is catching up to Les the “Can’t compose a sentence but I’m sure smart” Snead.

I've been hearing since before the 2018 season that these moves are gonna bite us in the ass. The window will be closed in a year or two. The McVay/Snead team sacrificed the future. Rams are gonna be rebuilding in the cellar for 3 years when it closes.

We're going into year 5 with the McVay/Snead era and the window is still wide open. Instead of it closing this year its supposed to close in two years again. Heck, after the Stafford trade Vegas gives us the 3rd best odds to win next year's Superbowl. Sounds to me like they should not change anything. During the Fisher era we had a boatload of high picks. Where did that take us? Give me some more of those careless moves.

That's all I'm trying to say and have been saying for weeks. Imagine what we could do if these guys were good at signing offensive players to contract and could get the most out of those players.
Right on old-school. I just bought my grandson a Geoff jersey for Xmas. Donald was sold out.

Yeah right now that circlejerk that Texas alluded to is feeling mighty good. Figuratively speaking. :ROFLMAO:
