That list has plenty of potential but doesn’t it make anyone else nervous? For instance, even if they can generate 20 sacks, which seems a reach, which two can play the run?

Hoecht needs to impress as a bonified edge or the experiment may fail early...

I am going chalk here, Hoecht & Bryon Young. I believe Michael Hoecht slimmed down a bit and I also believe he is the next Kevin Greene.

Being Hopeful is good

Being Optimistic is fine.

But ... Kevin Greene?!? .. Come On!

high praise. Hope you are correct about Hoecht.

Smart guy out of Brown, really gave the Rams a huge lift last year when there was nobody else. I liked him as an UDRFA and I truly believe there is something there. Hopefully he holds up better against the run as certain teams like the Raiders exposed him a bit, but he can rush the passer and lord knows you cannot have enough pass rushers.

I went with Hoecht and Young. Hoecht because even though the guy gets a ton of flak he was fantastic out there for a converted DL. I don't see why he shouldn't be better in his contain this season, which was his greatest weakness. And Young because the more I watch his games the more I like him.

I’m hopeful that between Young and Hampton the Rams have found a “good” starting Edge. Odds are against both being “good”. Note: As example I considered someone like Fowler as “good” on the Rams. So that means they need to add a “great” Edge to complement in 2024. And the only way to ensure that is via trade as I don’t think “great” edge players are available via FA and you can’t count on them in the Draft.

Longacre never did anything during the regular season.
How Dare You!

Actually, that's not accurate.

Longacre was 3rd on the Rams' Defense, with 5.5 sacks in 2017. Behind only Donald and Quinn. That was an 11-win division-champion team. I can ignore the slight but you may have really hurt Matt Longacre's feelings. Are you happy?

I voted for Hoecht and Hampton.

Young is probably more likely than the latter, but I wanted something different.

I voted for "Not on the roster yet"
Rams will bring someone in after comp pick window closes.
Justin Houston or maybe even Clowney

I guess I have forgotten as when it came to Matt Longacre the only thing I remember is his surname reminding of my back yard after I mow it. it's one long acre.

Likely Byron Young and Hoecht to start the season.

I expect Nick Hampton to make some noise at some point though, his style of play reminded me a bit of Von Miller.
