For all of the credit Sean McVay gets for turning our offense around (which he deserves) or the improvement made by Goff.. none of that would look so impressive if it wasn't for the play of Robert Woods.
Even among Rams fans, Woods contributions last season seemed somewhat under appreciated.
Woods was a revelation, especially for a team that hadn't seen good play from its wideouts since Bruce and Holt were holding it down.
(Small nods to Mark Clayton, Brandon Lloyd and Danny Amendola)
Roger Saffold should have earned a Pro Bowl nod, imo. For as much as some fans loved Incognito, Richie NEVER bullied defensive linemen like Beetlejuice did all of last season.

Does Brockers get the credit he deserves outside of our fanbase?
I'm not sure.
I know we all like Nickel Robey-Coleman, but he was as good as any slot corner I have seen. In todays NFL, the importance of his excellence at the position cant be understated to our success on defense.

Who do ya'll think our most underrated player is? Who do you think might be the next player to emerge as a badass, under the radar Ram?

I never hear any accolades for Robey-Coleman and he is a stud slot corner.

There are a lot of solid slot corners in the NFL and I've seen some praise for NRC. Woods had no drops last season but did get injured and missed some games, so it's either Saffold or Brockers to me.

Fair points and good choices either way but Saffold has never been an iron man himself and Brockers left us with an injury early in our first playoff game in forever, so I dont know how to factor in injuries. They are a part of the game so unless its a constant problem, I really dont even consider it in the equation I guess.

Most Underrated : 8 years in the NFL, Pro-Bowler, earns $1,350,000. in 2018 = Jake McQuaide

Next & newest Rams Badass = King Kong Suh
Can't wait to see Suh, Donald, Brockers & Easley leading our defensive front.

Good point too. The more I think about it, the more I flip flop between the three.

Hekker.

It can never be overstated what his field positioning does for this team. The way his locker room presence keeps a relaxed attitude on the team.

Oh, and then there's this....

These are not players but I think the most underrated members of the Rams organization are the strength and conditioning coaches, Ted Rath, Edward Grayer, and Fernando Noriega. It's not a coincidence we had one of the lowest rates of injuries last season.

Most underrated player is Austin Blythe. Whenever he filled in for John Sullivan there was little noticeable difference.

I feel like Hekker isn't underrated, as far as Punters go, he gets lots of credit.

Yeah, I wouldn't go with Hekker on this.. he gets plenty of credit.

Blythe was my first thought.

As for McQuaide, all long snappers are pretty much unheard of until they screw up in a big game

Can I say Sam Shields before he's even played a down? If it wasn't for the concussion issues we'd be taking about his acquisition in the same terms of Talib and Peters.

Its a big "IF" but IF Shields can stay on the field and keep his skull from getting banged up, he could easily be this years best value signing in all of the league.

I edited my entry, to further state my case for Hekker. Maybe go back and reconsider, fellers. :sneaky:
