1. Tyson
I worry about the past injuries but IMO he brings the whole package offensively. If the Rams pass up elite WR talent like this because they aren’t good blockers it’s a mistake.

Jordyn Tyson. The injuries concern me, and we'll need to do our due diligence, but on the field, he's the best WR in this class. If he stays healthy, I would not be surprised if he's the best WR in the NFL in the next five years. Instant acceleration, generational movement skills, outstanding body control, and natural hands. He can flip his hips and change directions effortlessly. I'd love to see what he can become with our WR coaching and Davante's mentorship.

That said, Makai Lemon is the safest pick. He's a dog. He's tailor made for our offense. He will produce here. And he doesn't have the injury red flags Tyson does. But Tyson is the better talent imo.

Huge fan of Elijah Sarratt and Chris Brazzell II (and if Malachi Fields can be coached up, I'd pounce on him with our late second), but honestly, I'd be happy with any of the above.

If Tyson didn't have the injury issues.
If Concepcion didn't have the drops.
If Tate offered anything after the catch.
If I believed Boston could separate well vs. tight man coverage.
If Lemon were only taller (I doubt he's 5'11).
If I could see Cooper with an expanded route tree.

Until I learn more, my answer is Lemon.

Calling my own option in there since I think we go WR in the 2nd round with Cooper my #2.

It's possible, but I'm wondering if either player makes it to #61 in the 2nd round. Especially if they have strong combines.

Along with:

Other day 2 or 3 possibilities:

I don’t think the Rams can wait until pick 61 to grab a WR without passing up on a LOT of talent. Off the top of my head these teams are likely candidates to draft a WR before #61:
9ers
TB
Eagles (if they dump brown :laugh4: )
Raiders, Jets, and Browns
Chiefs
Bills
Cowboys (if they let pickens walk)
Steelers

Personally, I’m for a bigger body and that’s why I’m looking at Boston as my first choice. However, there are several good choices—whatever the Rams like. I’d be ok with except for Tyson. I don’t like spending a 1rst on players with injury concerns.

As for Fields, if he’s the guy the Rams covet, they might have to grab him at #29 because I just don’t see him getting past all of those aforementioned teams.

A lot of talent will be off the board, but in this class it looks like there will be quite a bit of talent left at WR.

When it's all said and done I must admit that I prefer the bigger body player, too.
My preference of that player includes someone physical enough to contribute on special teams in some fashion.

I've got a bunch of WRs listed here, but I can't help but to wonder what this offense would look like with a fast receiving TE that can block. If utilized properly this kid Sadiq could be more of a matchup problem than them all.

Anything is possible but lets look at some of those teams.

Eagles biggest need is pass rush and just as big of a need could be IOL. There's grumblings that 2 guys could retire after their OL coach was forced out.

Raiders obviously go Mendoza at 1. Then they have 2 big needs after that in OL and WR so they could take one at the top of the 2nd but for my money you protect your rookie franchise QB.

Jets desperately need a RT and there are a lot of them in this draft. After that they traded away their two best defenders so could replace them. Also yes they need a WR a TE and might need an RB as well. Cold take anything.

Browns literally need everything on O and could take anything and have 2 1st rounders.

Chiefs really need a pass rusher and could use an RB as well. WR could be a need depending on the Rice situation.

Bills absolutely should draft a WR no ifs ands or buts about it also need front 7 help.

Cowboys even if Pickens walks need D help there's no way to deny that. Just one number for you and that's 511. They gave up 511 points and we scored 518. They need D or it doesn't matter who they have at WR.

Steelers could use a QB even if Rodgers comes back maybe Simpson? After that I see Steelers fans say OL, WR and Cb as equal needs.

Free agency could change everything but I think we can wait for our 2nd rounder for a WR.
