That vid shows a couple of my concerns with him. And it's why I think that small sample size is important to keep in mind when evaluating him.
In his stretch of strongest play he was setting up and reading with confidence and straight dealing. But in his weak stretch of games he was unsettled, the feet were all over, bailing on the pocket, and rushing decisions. That play on the vid where he gets the TD in the redzone when he throws it underneath, the proper read would be the corner route but he rushed the underneath.
Dude might be a strong system QB who can start right away and win you games. Or he might be a backup.
I would guess that McVay would probably be able to get his best. So if we end up taking him I think his chances of success are strong. But I'd rather have a weapon, a corner, or a snot bubblin badass up front. Then draft that iffy potential backup QB later, where it's more appropriate.
