I dont think Raiola going to Oregon has anything to do with Moore's decision, it was likely the best offer he got, even if it meant being Moore's backup in '26
Will be interesting to see if he fits in Oregon's offense, he's a pocket passer who isnt very mobile

Also have a feeling Moore is formed them of his intention to go in the draft. He could still stay and transfer.

He wouldn't be going to Oregon if Moore was planning on sticking around. So I presume the two are related.

I still say that Moore sitting behind Stafford would be a pretty ideal situation. I don’t think Moore should start for any team in the NFL next season but he sure seems to have all the tools.
Rams would be an ideal spot for him yeah. He can sit and learn the offense which would be ideal for him. And we'd benefit from his elusiveness on the scout team.

Completely untrue. He wasnt getting offers elsewhere. He has a bit of an image to clean up. Sure he may have been able to go to a Western Kentucky or a mid-major, but he wasnt getting a power 4 offer. This is a great spot, he's got 2-3 years of eligibility left and riding the pine for a year wouldnt hurt. He's not a great fit for that offense either

EDIT-
Keep in mind that Dante Moore transferred from UCLA to Oregon knowing he'd sit behind behind Dillon Gabriel
And here we are....

Also, didn't Dante Moore transfer from UCLA to Oregon in 2024 to sit behind Dillon Gabriel for one year before taking-over as the starter? Worked-out well for Moore.

I have a hard time buying that he wasn't given some sort of idea whether Moore was sticking around, and I think it's a bit of a tell that he ended up there.

Not that I think Moore is all that great. I don't. But neither is Raiola. So for a prospect of his raw ability to move to a big school like that I imagine he was probably told Moore was leaning towards the draft. And maybe even from there assured he'd have a chance to compete for the job in camp if Moore sticks around.

it makes perfect sense if you understand the history of it.
Moore may hit the draft, he may not. Raiola got the best deal he could, it's a win/win. Although I dont think he's a good fit there
Oregon could have gotten better QB had they known for sure Moore was leaving

I'm starting going to wonder if 13 becomes Simpson or Chambliss.

I don't know. Raiola is extremely talented. Huge upside.

Very interesting. Personally I hope he comes out. If he goes higher than he should it helps us because we have so many picks in the top 100. If he's sitting at one of those picks and we take him it would be fun to have a QB behind Stafford to track in preseason.

Taking him like round 3 or 5 would be cool by me. If they take him higher than that I'll just trust in McVay and Snead.

Eagles didn't sign a reserve/future deal with former Ohio State QB Kyle McCord.
He'd be a decent QB prospect to give a look at this offseason.
He looked bad in preseason, but with that offensive staff that isn't a surprise. Not much you can take from a rookie's first preseason anyway.

First throw is at 2:20ish. His runs are of course ridiculous.

I did not realize he was a lefty. I am one and have always noticed lefty QBs the ball comes out kinda funny (Steve Young) When I threw a football it had that same funny tilt Youngs did going through the air.
But this Payton kid the ball looks more like a right hander throwing it, but its from his left hand.
And he can RUN. My guy, the Cincy kid is staying it it seems.
Is Payton coming out ?
