I did not realize he was a lefty. I am one and have always noticed lefty QBs the ball comes out kinda funny (Steve Young) When I threw a football it had that same funny tilt Youngs did going through the air.
But this Payton kid the ball looks more like a right hander throwing it, but its from his left hand.
And he can RUN. My guy, the Cincy kid is staying it it seems.
Is Payton coming out ?
Think he's out of eligibility, yeah.

This is all working out great for the Rams, imo.

Keep building the roster and then jump in 27 to get a QB.. should be multiple decent options. Hopefully. lol

Even with that there was a pretty even split among "experts" on which of them went first.
I dont think there is any chance Mendoza wouldnt go first. I believe the experts like to throw stuff out there to gain interest, like Cam last year and Caleb the year before. Need to try for some intrigue with so much time to go
Alas...
Its the right move, Jets aside.
I'm just bummed because that's one less player taken before #13

It’s sucks because all these guys staying is making this a lesser draft when we have two first round picks.

But I guess is does setup next year to be an overloaded QB draft - easier to get a guy when there are so many possible 1-2nd round guys. Almost by default there should be someone available to us.

Anything can and will happen :D
There are people who like Moore and his upside more than what you get from Mendoza and that's all it takes for a team to take him first. We've seen stranger things happen.

When was the last time a QB, who was the consensus #1 overall didn’t get picked #1 overall?
Not saying Moore doesn’t have folks who believe in him, but there’s no way he was gonna go #1 overall.
We see it every year, and the guy gets picked #1 everytime

He saw the Jets picking at 2 and decided to dodge that flaming trash can organization.
I honestly think they may have had a big part in this. After his down performance against the other QB vying for the top pick, he had to decide between getting a bag at Oregon to stay or go to the NFL team that QB's go to die. Wonder if Riaola decommits.
