Who knows, he might stay in college another 5 years. And Beck further proves who he is as a person by walking off the field after the loss without shaking any hands.
I hope to holy fate we don't even sign him or Pavia as UDFAs, let alone draft them.
I don't hate that, if you flip CB @13 and WR @29 you may get a better score. Problem is Boston @13 is high by many pundits, I love him and think he has game that McVay loves but for now he is more late teens mid 20's range
Chris Johnson is the only pick I think I'd like at that juncture. Would I trade down and take Boston? Absolutely, but there's no way I take him at #13. Personally wouldn't pick a tackle unless someone really good dropped to us, and no, World is not that guy.
And my answer on Nuss is a resounding "no" - and this is coming from someone who was a fan.
Agreed on all points. In my mind there’s only 4 pass catchers in rd 1
1) Tate
2) Sadiq
3) Tyson
4) Lemon
In that order for me. Boston isn’t in the conversation unless mayyyybe at 32. Even then I’d take a trade down for him.
One of my trade back drafts. Just gives an idea of what could be possibleBrazzell will be in that conversation if he pops off. 6'5" with his route running ability and catch radius? You bet I'd take him with our late first (which is hopefully #32). I feel that Johnson is going to be a first-round riser along with McCoy (who'll go before #13).
Personally, I'm trading out of #13 and/or #32 if we see a lot of potential great late-firsts/early-seconds this year (which I personally believe there honestly isn't much difference from #11 - #55, to me, at least; the Rams and other teams might believe differently, but that's my thoughts) or a potential first next year.
We'll see. But then again, there's going to be some silly shit with this draft with the teams who all need signal callers and with there being so many utterly subpar options this draft.
Or this one... this one addresses LB high.

I just grab Foster because he was a C available late. No expert on a lot of these guys, especially those in later rounds, just kind of grabbing positions at points in the draft where they could make sense.I could get behind the early rounds...Igbinosun aside. I am just not a fan of him, personally; he's like a more athletic Kendrick with all of the wrong ideas of what to do when the ball's in the air (very grabby, very few interceptions and PBUs considering his athletic gifts). I think there have to be better corners available at that point (out of curiosity, were Julian Neal or D'Angelo Ponds available at that point? Because I'm a giant Ponds fan, and Neal is one of the most underrated corners in this class). I love Sadiq, Abney, and Brazzell's picks.
McClellan, I don't see massive potential in as a Mizzou fan. I'm sorry, I think we can do better. Foster, I've watched for very long time (at Texas A&M to Kansas), and he reminds me of a worse version of Limmer: absolutely fantastic run-blocker, absolute dogshit as a pass-protector. I'd honestly rather just keep Limmer on the roster instead of draft Foster. I like your other late round picks, though, and even the Robertson pick doesn't bother me too much.
This one, on the other hand, I fucking love...Foster aside. I think Stribling could be another one in the mold of Puka or Whitt. I think Payton goes much higher than the seventh (I think he could very quickly rise into the early rounds if he shows if he has a decent arm), but I seriously love each pick aside from Foster.
Fair enough. I absolutely understand the appeal of getting a big center late.I just grab Foster because he was a C available late. No expert on a lot of these guys, especially those in later rounds, just kind of grabbing positions at points in the draft where they could make sense.

I see a lot of experts questioning his speed but I've been watching him and he separates. He's got good size and strength. He is that weapon Stafford can highpoint down the sideline to take souls late. And he's smooth for a big wideout. Feels like a fit for McVay at a position he can never draft high enough to take.Agreed on all points. In my mind there’s only 4 pass catchers in rd 1

Yeah, its early, but I like playing with the mock simulators and use different approaches to see how much position help you can get.I see a lot of experts questioning his speed but I've been watching him and he separates. I think Tyson goes top group, he's out of our range. Tate is similar to some extent in that they're both big dudes who may not run well . Rams are drafting at 13, I think Lemon has a good chance to be there but he's not what we need. If they pass on WR at 13 then by the time they pick end of the round I think the best big wideouts are gonna be gone.
Also I don't look at early draft ratings as gospel wrt what grouping they're going to slot into. That shit changes like crazy every year as the mediots catch wind that teams have different takes, then it changes more when the Senior Bowl week results come in, then again when the 40 times roll in, and so on.
Precisely. Also I think the corner ratings are going to change a lot. Wideout we'll see. So much with those skill dudes gets influenced by their workouts.Yeah, its early, but U like playing with the mock simulators and use different approaches to see how much position help you can get.
Like, if you do reach for Simpson at 13 or after a trade down, how does that impact your ability to address other top needs? How much of a hit do you take with the talent fall off by doing so if you have to wait on a WR or CB, etc...?
I like Ferg, but he seems to be a bit of a dingbat sometimes and doesn't know what he's supposed to be doing on the field.... I'm not sure he's a good study yet..... I think he's one of those players that needs repetition repetition repetition, and that's how he retains his situational awareness.....Precisely. What is cool is we have Ferguson hopefully coming on year two as a big weapon. So if they could hit on a sideline monster this offense might be unstoppable.
He's a rook TE. Tough position. I think worst case he'll be an inline TE who does a bit of everything. But maybe more than that.I like Ferg, but he seems to be a bit of a dingbat sometimes and doesn't know what he's supposed to be doing on the field.... I'm not sure he's a good study yet..... anyone wanna see a dead body, ooooophfI'd rather have Shedeur Sanders at QB over Beck.
