Which QB should the Rams draft in the 1st Round next year?

Luke Altmyer might be the better QB than Albert Mendoza! Have seen both teams play this year.

Tough call but Altmyer had a tough time against Dukes defense.There is this 1 OLB/DE who had a couple sacks plus what other damage he did.Especially early at home.Altmyer seemed a little cocky at first & missed a couple throws.Once he settled in he did well.Fernando ,Alberto who knows who will be the better college QB.Fernando has NFL height.

I wouldn’t think the Mendoza brothers are any killers.

ODU is better than I thought,they made me pay last week for doubting them.Still whoever they played is overrated.

Fernando though has inflated numbers & looked lost his first game throwing ZERO TD’s at home
against ODU.

Should be a fun game to watch,each week is new week &there should be no excuses either side. Altmyer is battled tested & is a big game for him to prove he might be a NFL type QB.

The kid from DUKE might be a first rd pick.He has been the Best DE/OLB that stood out to me as such.

OH Yeah - not at all.First game of the season.Duke is not a very good team,but still that DE/Olb is an excellent player.
Maybe it’s how bad Illinois offensive line is,but then again it wasn’t a very close game.

Fernando was new to Indiana’s offense from Cal going 18-31 for 193 yards against Old Dominion
QB rating 76 Zero TD’s
-His rush ability though was sort of special,but not great throwing on the run.

Luke Altmyer was 22-31 296 3 TD’s.
81 QbR. He wasn’t good under pressure & ZERO running ability.

Luke was 9 for Minus 27 against Indiana which shows how much pressure he must have been under.
A 93 QBR isn’t all that good ? 5 TD’s was impressive.

Let’s see how Jayden Maiava does this next week on the road & Indiana on the road in Iowa ?

I know my elevation wasn’t all that good,but I’m not a big Rookie QB Fan unless that player is Elite.Still not SOLD of Fernando.
 
Arch hasn’t done all that much.Still young.

CJ Carr might be a QB to keep an eye on next season.

By the way V. Anthony hasn’t done all that much since the Illinois game really(DE/Olb) from Duke.

He has the speed & height 6’6,but needs more effort.I was WRONG on my E-Val!!! 5 sacks though in 4 games,but only 11 tackles.

Maryland true freshman, Malik Washington may be someone to keep an eye out for in a year or 2.

Father (Dominic) was a quality NFL center; and was Stafford’s center in Detroit when he came into the League.

As Mugg pointed out, he can’t come out before 2026.
 
No time to read through this thread if this a has already been mentioned, but Arch needs to have an incredible year for him to choose entering the draft. We know he got off to a bad start but he looked good against a weak team yesterday, yeah he should've, so we'll see if it was just a bad start. If he falls short of projections he'll stay in school for sure which is why we'll look at other QBs in this next draft. Looking at draft buzz there are some decent top 5 QBs but who will be the one for the Rams, and will he adapt to the NFL game like a champ is of course anyone's guess.

He is really smooth, very athletic, throws the ball easy it just looks nice when it comes out, good size 6'3" 230.

I think he is very raw still but you see his growth, year after year he has shown great improvement.
At UNLV I thought he was a mess, an athletic guy who could throw the ball so they said you go play QB.

Now he looks like a guy that is very calm and confident. Not sure if he has NFL ability or not but it has been fun to watch him progress. He is keeping two 5 star prospects behind him and on the bench.

Maiava has really impressed me this year. Let's see how he does going forward.

Mateer is very intriguing. He's not the biggest guy but does have some rushing ability. Would like to see him clean up some of his mistakes though, but that may come with more playing time.

If Stafford stays another year you could reach for a guy like that, assuming he doesn't keep climbing the draft boards. You buy a few years on the bench with him. Then he hits the field a year or two later ready to roll for the most part.
