Dude you scared me there. I was thinking he was fucking 35 or something already. Had to check his age. :laugh2:
I clearly stated "an older QB" as in older than a young kid like Maye. So just saying a team will move on from an expensive vet QB, who just went 3-14, in favor of a cheap young phenom. Do you doubt that?

Not at all. I am simply so used to suddenly realizing players are old as fuck that it's given me a complex. And I thought when I read your comment that he was another player who suddenly aged many years without me noticing.

bet ya McVay and Snead find a starting vet they like, bye bye draft choices
train
I can see it that way, but I hope not. I would rather have a young stud on a rookie contract and an extra $40-45mil to the cap.

Burrow isn't going anywhere. They just signed his 2 wrs for big money to keep him happy.

He'll be there for awhile.

Purdy Purdy-

Who knows right now. IMO it’s Fake News for now to think that is the direction The Rams are going?

Let’s get through 2025 season first. Is this going to happen that Ram Fans will talk about this all season??

IMO Jimmy G is a Ram for a reason.I take him being in Sean Mcvays system a 2nd time as Great Value.

Haven’t even seen Mannaing play..Why he didn’t start to me is laughable.

Arch Manning achieved a lot in High School, and it’s pretty clear he is a great prospect, so he would be an amazing pick. Will he declare after one year? Will him only having one year of starting experience hurt his stock?

if Manning is taken before we pick then Garrett Nussmeier looks like a high ceiling, high floor, high character, prospect with plenty between his ears

I can see us giving up as many as three no 1 picks to move up to get the QB we want

This is a discussion for next winter.
But how ironic would it be if Atlanta has a top five pick and the Rams end up trading them their pick back to move up to take a QB?

That would be a good draft story.

I'm confused, we would be trading down from a top 5 pick to the second round in this scenario?

Back when the Rams sucked, I would start looking ... very early-on ... at the projected top college players who would be the top-tier prospects in the following Draft.

I have not done that since McVay came aboard ... the PRESENT was far too interesting and entertaining to look ahead for, what I expected to be, a late first round pick ... which the Rams often did not even hold.

Not this time. I have already looked at projected top prospects for the 2026 Draft. Now I realize this list WILL change significantly but I still have a great interest, and will be watching the Quarterbacks closely,

In addition to QBs, there are a number of Offensive Tackles with super-early high-rankings.

There are all types of possibilities. Certainly a QB-of-the-future is high on that list-of-possibilities.
The Rams could trade a 1st round pick at the 2025 NFL trade deadline.

Still another possibility is that there are no top QBs that the Rams like ... and ... are in a position to select.
For example, say there are two Great QB prospects, and the Rams have the 3rd pick because Atlanta sucked. The top-two teams may not be willing to trade-out because they want one of those QBs.

Under this scenario, the Rams may simply be "stuck" with two first round draft choices to simply USE, and address two other positions ... OT ... CB ... WR. That would be cool.

The possible hypothetical scenarios are nearly endless. Man is going to be fun.
