I hate the draft value chart. It doesn’t take into account specific systems, just more of where the pick is. We got a borderline first round talent with Fiske. The trade up was worth the value spent and if Fiske can continually build on the momentum, we could have underspent IMO.

Well The Rams have been apart of F”Them Picks SO I don’t have a problem with trading up for FISKE.

The dude had more sacks as a DT/DE than Jared Verse.

The Rams do well with UDRFA’s as well,SO it’s not always about the picks either.More about the development of players.

The Draft Chart does give a value though. Getting a 1st rd pick from Atlanta is a wild card pick.

Les Sneads first TRADE EVER should’ve had more value with all those picks.

I was always about trading The #2 pick (Robinson) was to trade back & get an extra pick .
Would have kept that pick going forever. The pick that kept on giving.

There’s always someone that will bring up Trent Dilfer, but let’s face it. If you don’t have a stud QB, you’re going to be just good enough to lose in the playoffs.

Im in the camp that wants a long term stud at the QB position.
Whatever the cost.
I always laugh when folks bring up those outlier QBs. Trent Dilfer and Nick Foles were both backup QB forced in to starting spots, and both returned to the bench (where they belong) the following year.
Need a stud QB to qualify for the playoffs, win playoff games and ultimately a SB

I agree with you guys. If you don’t have that elite big nuts passer at QB, you’ve got to basically fill out the rest of your roster with studs everywhere to get the team into the contention stratosphere…Ala Niners, Eagles, Ravens.

And how many of those teams have won besides the Eagles this last year?

And BTW, I wouldn't classify Hurts in the Nick Foles camp. He's closer to an elite QB than he is to the Foles type.

I agree, Hurts is a much better QB than folks here give him credit for.
His tush push has virtually revolutionized the game. 32 TD last year with only 5 INT
Since becoming the full time starter he's accounted for 131 TD in 4 years.
He may not be in the "Elite" class but it is laughable to consider him in the Foles/Dilfer catagory
Let's not forget that he wasnt the reason KC beat them in the SB, he was the reason Philly could/should have won. And that was obviously without Saquon.....

Not giving Hurts any credit for the “butt plug”. That’s greaseball Sirianis doing. And I’m looking forward to the Washington Commodes response to that bullshit this year. They’ve seen enough of it and somebody’s gonna take Hurts head off this year.

We don’t draft a QB. We get Whitworth to use his LSU ties to start whispering sweet nothings into the ears of Joe Burrow’s representation. Then after the Bengals miss the playoffs this year and next, Burrow’s representation starts playing hardball and demand a trade. And we replace Matthew Stafford with Joe Burrow and keep the train rolling right along.

Thats petty. He does it better than anyone and people have been crying about it for years.
He's a borderline great player

Then call me Tom Petty. My firm opinion is the QB sneak is a football play and the “Tush Push” is a rugby play. And I don’t credit any “greatness” for Hurts being pushed/pulled/tossed into the end zone 8 times a year by his own teammates.

Key Differences:
The main distinction lies in the assistance provided by players behind the quarterback. A standard quarterback sneak relies on the quarterback's own strength and the offensive line's forward surge. The tush push adds another layer of forward momentum by incorporating players pushing from behind.

And they even took the best center in the league out of the offense and they still were converting at a maddening clip... maybe it has something to do with the QB?

If its so easy, then why doesnt everyone do it?
If he was doing it as a Ram, nobody would be discrediting it or him

I like the way you think. Burrows in the Rams horns would be awesome!!

I’ve given my opinion. You are certainly entitled to yours. I’ll just continue hoping each year enough teams realize it’s not a football play and ban it.

Don’t need anymore of this horseshit (vs greatness) from NFC Conf Championship game:

1st & Goal at WSH 1

(13:43 - 4th) (No Huddle) J.Hurts up the middle to WAS 1 for no gain (J.Newton; C.Ferrell). PENALTY on WAS-J.Allen, Defensive Offside, 0 yards, enforced at WAS 1 - No Play.

1st & Goal at WSH 1

(13:34 - 4th) J.Hurts up the middle to WAS 1 for no gain (D.Armstrong; J.Chinn).

2nd & Goal at WSH 1

(12:58 - 4th) PENALTY on WAS-F.Luvu, Encroachment, 0 yards, enforced at WAS 1 - No Play.

2nd & Goal at WSH 1

(12:45 - 4th) PENALTY on WAS-F.Luvu, Encroachment, 0 yards, enforced at WAS 1 - No Play.

2nd & Goal at WSH 1

(12:35 - 4th) PENALTY on WAS-J.Allen, Encroachment, 0 yards, enforced at WAS 1 - No Play.

2nd & Goal at WSH 1

(12:24 - 4th) J.Hurts up the middle for 1 yard, TOUCHDOWN. J.Elliott extra point is GOOD, Center-R.Lovato, Holder-B.Mann.

Why is everyone so focused on the tush push with Hurts rather than looking at overall play? The man was top 10 in QBR last year and 12th the year before.

Do you know who your problem is with in this scenario?
