Why would Burrows retire????

If we go veteran QB, we are gonna have to give to get, especially a great QB.... The window to get a great QB on a trade would be in the off season, but it would cost us a ton, and I'm diggin the way Stafford is playing.

To get a Burrows type QB we would probably have to package Nacua and Stafford and hopefully be able to hold onto our draft picks.

Maybe we can get Mac Jones from the 9ers at the end of the 2026 season without blowing up the ship.
I hope you just threw up in your mouth actually saying getting rid of Stafford AND Puka then having the nerve to mention actually ending up with Mac Jones.
I have to go vomit myself.
Puka is going to retire as a career long RAM.

The chances of getting Burrows is 0.000000000019%.... especially next season.

I like Mac Jones toughness.... I don't like his team but he served the 9ers well.

As for Puka, I thought the same thing about Kupp... And now we get to see him for three hours in a different uniform in week 18 in one of the most important games this season.

I think he's a Shitter fan. Has to be.

Joe Burrow is 41 and 30 when starting. If I had to guess, he has had enough of putting in the work and playing at a high level for an average at best organization, in a small market, in an outdoor cold weather stadium while having the indignity of playing in orange :-)

If he does want to enjoy football he could hold on for a year and then demand a trade to the Rams, ahead of 2018, with Stafford retired, and where veterans go to love playing and enjoy a great lifestyle with the best offensive, possibly head, coach in the league

Jones Sux, you can be as 'tough" as you want to be. But if you don't have the brains and arm talent who cares. Jones, he is NOT good enough to wipe that Niner stank off.
Puka is more gifted than Kupp ever was. Kupp was about his brains and short space quickness. Once the quickness went away he is mostly just the receiver he was his last 2 years with the Rams. Makes is catches with defenders right on top of him, no YAC yards.
Pukas deal is about being fast enough, running right through people, courage of a lion and giant sticky hands.
He needs to be a Ram for life unless he falls off a cliff. But I do not see it.

I think its kind of funny deal when all these people are sure McVay only likes veteran QBs because once in his life he traded for one. He seen the same limitations of Goff we all seen and wanted a QB who could get done what he wanted to get done.
We do not know who he will pick for his next QB.
Who is any of us to say he will not pick a young stud QB to groom. He has not been in the position to draft one ever.
So, we will all see what he wants to do shortly.
Enjoy the ride.

Jones doesn't suck :eyeroll: He has a pretty high IQ and McVay likes those type of QB's.

Kupp was damn athletic before the wear and tear.... I'm sure Puka will be heading down the same path. You can only run through people for so long then you start spending time on the IR, which Puka has already spent a significant amount of time in his young career.

So you like 'tough guy" dink and dunk QBs dripping with Niner stank.
OK.

Brady got 7 rings with dink and dunk.

As for the "Niner stank" nothing a shower in the Sofi Locker Room couldn't fix, and a Downey fresh blue and gold (sometimes bone) uniform to completely eliminate the former smell.

What could smell worse than a Lions stank???? Stafford got rid of that "stank" in a hurry.

Brady ended up a QB who could throw it deep (Randy Moss)
If you do not know the difference between Niner STANK and Lions stank you are actually not a real Rams fan.
The Lions are hardy our most hated rival who beat us like dogs for a decade and rubbed it in our faces.
Get a clue.

That's not a scenario just an example of what value could be needed in getting a top 3 veteran QB in the NFL to replace Stafford next season...... A replacement that isn't needed at the moment or next season. (if he stays healthy).

It took the Rams to deal their #1 overall pick away to get a 33 year old Stafford QB with a losing record.

To me (IMO) Max Jones is the best option in terms of free agency that coincides with Staffords timeline of effectiveness. And still have money to surround Max Jones with very good players.

Or we can come in last place in 2026 and get the #1 pick in 2027 and hope there's a college QB stud out there.
We do NOT want to replace Stafford next season.

A miniscule chance the Rams get Burrow....what was the percentage listed? 0.000000000019%?

Comments on First things first today when talking about Burrow not being happy......

Nick Wright thinks there are 2 teams who could trade for Burrow, The Eagles and the Rams. If Philly has had enough of Jalen, package him with some picks and make the deal. If Stafford tells the Rams he's going to retire, the Rams have the draft picks to get the deal done. Burrow would be happy.....extremely.....in either place.

Kevin Wildes says, "the organization should be scrambling right now to improve his attitude. If he sprains his ankle there's going to be 15 people grabbing tape and what not and rushing to get his ankle taped up tightly. His being unhappy, how many people are going to call him.....other than Sean McVay?"

LMFAO!!!!!
