Russel Wilson, Mahomes, Watson, Mayfield. Those would be my picks if Goff was non existent

I am coming around on him, but he does have some bad habits. You only get away with certain things so long before they start catching up to you. It will be interesting to see how he does next year, when DCs have a year's worth of film on him.

It’s hard to reign in guys with big arms, sometimes guys with arm talent like Rodgers or Stafford or Mahomes don’t worry about fundamentals. Rodgers throws while he’s up in the air sometimes but you can do that if you’re Rodgers, but he missed 2 guys for tds against Minn. Same with Mahomes sometimes, against the rams he tried to get it to Hill while being chased and it was an easy pick, and the one Ebukam picked as well. He was flat footed and tried to sling it out. That being said, if you’ve got a guy like Hill sometimes all you need is to throw it a long way.

It wasn't that long ago when some pined for Cousins when McVay first got here. My, have opinions changed!

Yes, Goff is our guy. He has developed into the QB we hoped for. Mahomes is very impressive to me, but with the uncanny plays he makes you must also accept the interceptions he throws.

Jared Freakin' Goff, there is no substitute.

Only guy I'd even consider would be Tom Brady entering his third year and it hurts very much to write that.

Jared Goff
I like passers who are sneaky good athletes and cold as ice.

As good as Goff is, you know he's never going to hoist a cup!

Lets take a walk through a list of other compelling QBs:
  • Brees/Rivers - having career years and great leaders - but if they win the Super Bowl this year it may be their last. Also his salary is considerably higher than Goff's so how good would the Rams be with Brees but without Whit/Cooks (or some other combination of players with similar salaries)
  • Mahomes is an exciting player with a very strong arm but I will take Goff's passing skills (touch and ball placement) over Mahomes; also we have seen a lot of young QBs take the league by storm coming out of the gate only to regress (Prescott/Watson)
  • Mayfield - showing some true grit but its early and kind of an a**hole
  • Rodgers - not liking his attitude towards his teammates/seems to have lost more than one step in scrambling
  • Brady/Roth/Ryan/Watson/Cousins - peaked out/peaked out/peaked out/limited/limited
  • Wilson/Newton - too much ad-libbing/not enough discipline
That leaves one (in my humble opinion):
  • Luck - when healthy he is as good as any QB in the league, is a great leader and is young enough to keep it going for the foreseeable future
