Man- As many have said, so many good options it's hard to pick one. I will say, a prime Faulk is such a game changer. Defenses have to worry so much about him in the backfield, and coming out of to catch passes. Just so dynamic.

as CGI said, Fletcher was my first thought. LB's is one of the question marks on D and he was such a stud.
Deacon- That's all you have to say lol, that would be sick with AD. I think Wilson would just say F it, I'm calling in sick today.

OP, Slater, Smith, etc. all would be great choices and instantly make our OL that much better.

Honorable mention 2013 Robert Quinn-19 sacks. That year and AD's 2018. That's 39.5 sacks between (TWO) players. Insane
Honorable mention-Tony Horne. I just miss having a real KR threat. He was pretty bad ass. Which I know doesn't mean much in today's sissy kickoff rules.

I took the question to be more in line with which former Ram that is currently playing.

I'd get John Johnson back if that were the case.

Former Ram? That would be a toss up between Ike, Jerry Grey, or Steven Jackson.

Love JJ but I'd go with Saffold for one year. If multiple years, JJ.

Saffold is still playing at a high level

I remember when Rich Saul replaced Ken Iman at center. I was concerned. Saul had been a back-up and special teams players for five years before he became a starter. Then, when six-time Pro Bowler Saul retired, I was concerned that Doug Smith would be a huge drop-off ... six more Pro Bowls.

I was dumb back then. Now? It's a matter of opinion.

Hey, try to be fair here.

OK, OK ... Klopfenstein (TE) was a mistake in the second round ... BUT ... you have to balance that out with one of the Rams' third round selections ... another TE! ... Dominiqu Byrd!!

Again, to be fair, those two did combine for 39 receptions ... in their Rams' careers!!!

At least they drafted Claude Wroten that year.

It sounds like George Costanza made our picks that year.

Which former Ram would you add to this team... As the finishing touch?

You just to had to ask a tough question like this CGI.

I can't answer this with just one former Rams addition and not change my mind again 30 minutes later.

Your question revolves around the finishing touch.

That would mean patching up what we think the current Rams team biggest weakness is and putting them over the top.

This feels like a trick question.

Do you select BFPA best former player available regardless of position or do you select the best former player to fill the biggest hole on the current roster?

BFPA regardless = Marshall Faulk, Deacon Jones, Jackie Slater, Merlin Olsen, Jack Youngblood, Elroy "Crazy Legs" Hirsch, Tom Mack, Henry Ellard, Isaac Bruce, Kevin Green, Leroy Irvin, Dick "Night Train" Lane, Rich Saul

BFPA to patch up the Rams current roster biggest weakness = Deacon Jones, Tom Mack, Rich Saul

I’ve enjoyed reading them all, but this was the original intent. (y)

Im gonna go with London Fletcher but a prime Aquib Talib in the secondary we have now would be fun to watch. He wasnt in his prime when he was a Ram so idk if that counts.

Hmmm...

Kurt
Bruce
Deacon
Pace
Slater

Maybe for this team...
Horne
Gruttadauria
Aeneas
Fletcher

I'm gonna go prime Kurt. Fuggetaboutit and give us the trophy now.
Yeah, this thread is crazy. CGI's question is great because there are so many legit ways to answer it. Amazing how many great options there are.

I can see a strong case for....

Fletcher, OP, ED, Mack, Saul, Slater, Deacon, Youngblood, Greene, Faulk, and many more...

But in the end I'm gonna roll with Mojo on this one. The most important position on the team. The guy who has to be at the top of his game when the pressure is unbearable.

I have confidence Stafford can do it. But I know WITHOUT A DOUBT that Kurt can. He consistently raises his game to the highest levels in the biggest games.

With this D, with these weapons on offense, and this coach, Kurt would find a way to bring it home.

I took the question as a former Rams player that would fill the weakest part of the Rams current positions. This team has question marks at the ILber spots.

On Defense!

I would go with London Flecther to tighten up the Lber spot. He would be on the field for 3 downs.

Another Lber would be Butch Robertson. He could did it all Lots of intensity.

Certainly, Kevin Greene as an extra pass rusher would be great too.

On Offense!

Lets go improve the offensive line.

Here is a name not mentioned. A man with an attitude on the offensive line not mention as far as I remember would be "Herk"

Denis Harrah!
He opened a lot of holes for ED. He has a highlight film but, admittedly hit air and missed the defender. lol

Harrah was a 1974 All-America selection by NEA and TSN, Time magazine as a tackle. He was a Second-team All-America pick by UPI and AP. Was a 6-5 259 senior who could run a 4.8 40-yard dash and bench press 500 pounds. He is a member of the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame.

So many Ram greats.

Deacon Jones coming off the edge with AD in the middle? That’s not even fair!
