There was certainly a bunch of red in the stadium.

but there was a bunch of blue as well. Our section had only a few Whiner fans. You could hear them. But you could hear us also.

I seem to be the only one not surprised about this development. I understand the disappointment.

What is silly is some seem not to understand how the resale market works. You can not discriminate who you can sell to on a trusted site. If you are going to cast stones, throw them at the fan base not willing to put the effort into showing up.

LIKE WE DO!!!!

GO RAMS!!!
Why would any Rams fans be selling their tickets to this game. Of all the regular season games this is the one they should have circled on their calendars.

Still amazes me people expecting LA to turn back to the Rams just because we moved back. The Rams shit on the fans there and abandoned them it's going to take time to build the fan base back up.

a couple.. but if you think im going to believe that a Dallas home game was like what we had the other day... as far as what we experienced yesterday - no way and you know its not true.

Ive been to AT&T a couple times but ive also watched 100 games on TV and never in my life have i heard the announcers talk about the crowd like i have in Rams games.
"I've been a couple times, so I knew more than the dude that's been to 30ish games."

This was in 2014. So you were wrong. Very wrong. Good try, champ.

Ill say it again because it matters. This was NOT a playoff game. 49ers fans marked this game a LONG time ago as this was the FIRST time their team played in SOFi.

Yes it sucks there were that many their but that wont be the norm. Monday night it will be a different story.

LA is a different market and the team hasnt been back that long....

Look they need to win that game JUST to get in the playoffs, we won the division at the end of the 4th quarter. Lets move on and get ready for MNF!!!!!

I just spent $1600 to see the Rams in Baltimore. It’s a shame that LA can’t fill a brand new stadium for a big game. Embarrassing for actual Ram fans.

I knew a ton of people going to the game who didn’t go last minute because they tested positive for Covid. But as someone else mentioned earlier, their fan base prioritized this game all season as a “take over” so they have been buying tickets for this game since the schedule was released.

They really weren’t getting a lot of support after moving to Anaheim. LA has always been a fair weather fan base with some die hards mixed in.

I had hopes that with the new stadium and a winning product a place with that many people could fill the stadium.

I remember 100k+ at the coliseum back in the 70’s.

Don't disagree with anything you said. This will change but it won't happen fast they really have to win the hearts of the younger generation which they're doing with the stars with the new uniforms with the amazing stadium. Expecting it right away is folly.

Over 300$ for a nosebleed seat, 60$ to park, 17$ a beer and 12$ for a hotdog and ya'all wonder why the stadium isn't full? Those are all good reasons I'll never go.
Those same prices are normal for every team in professional sports. It didn’t seem to bother the 9 er fans.

I believe you that sometimes Cowboys games have other fans there in big numbers - but its not to the level we have seen with the Rams the last couple years.

I've never watched a cowboys game and heard the announcers talk about how the cowboys had to do a silent count in their own stadium.

I remember us having to go to silent count several times. It's true it may not be as bad as LA, but you're acting like you know everything about our stadium on a tiny sample size. You can admit you're wrong; it's ok. I still love you (pro-homo). You better catch this kiss I'm about to throw!!

Also there are what 2 or 3 threads on this topic?
I only saw 2 but they are now merged.

There are no doubt a lot of comments about it in the vent and game day thread. But I have better things to do than read those threads. Y'know...like having bamboo shoots inserted under my finger nails.

I'm honestly considering merging these into the vent thread. I'm not sure this topic is anything more than a vent anyway.

What does a family of 4 pay for season tix? 3 grand? No wonder some choose to sell tix to a game or two to offset that cost.

Also the hyperbole on this thread is ridiculous, acting like this is the worst fanbase in the league. Its not even the worst fanbase in our fucking stadium.

I know I have several Cardinal fans already shopping/bought tickets to SoFi. I was gonna go too, until it was announced to be on MNF

Worse than the Rams (Frontiere/Shaw and others to be a bit more specific), is the NFL letting it happen. You block her. Then she pays you off, and you agree to let her to leave the #2 market knowing you are basically killing a fan base. Despicable. The only ones that remained were diehards like me, and many that post on this board.

Then the owners have the nads to think they can just plug it back in with a fancy new crib and get the stadium filled with blue??? Gonna take decades of being relevant for this to happen. Luckily, they'll all make $$$ while this happens and won't even care what humongous idiots they are.

In the meantime, we have to put up with being the road team at a home game now and again. Sucks, but it is what it is.

It is quite a bit more than that. But even that isn't the problem although average people investing in tickets quite likely have to recoup some of the investment. I have lost a lot of money as a season ticket holder and it doesn't always sit well. The hope is that you can have enough great experiences to make it worth it

Creating a new fanbase is a process not an event.
The pool of fans is saturated. Our fan base in L.A is pretty old and loyal either they stayed Ram fans like many on here or are casual fans. There aren't just NFL fans looking for a team and willing to enter that next level of time and financial investment. The Rams will need to cultivate that and they are aware of it.

P.S I am agreeing with you but took the opportunity to expand on the topic which is completely blown out of proportion.

I would expect a lot of Red Monday too. It is a Monday game in L.A, the amount of work it takes to clear your schedule and make the commute evens the playing field and AZ is an under 6hr drive away.
