I hope it means the Rams will build a better defense than the Seahawks or they may as well quit now and just rebuild the whole thing.
Come-on.
Three games against Seattle, and every one of them was as close as an NFL game can be.

The Rams are right there right now.

Now their QB is a huge part of it; and he will be 38 but ... the Rams pushed the Lombardi winner to the MAX.

I get the disappointment and frustration ... I Share It ... But ... COME ON!

All-In means:
1. Getting rid of the chaff (e.g., no more Reeders on the team).
2. Pay Stafford well enough to make him want to stay two years (the Rams will not win a SB w/o him).
3. Getting the best CB available in FA.
4. Getting the best CB available in the draft.
5. Getting the best LB available in FA, or center, whichever they think helps more.
6. Keeping and using the draft picks to find more gems.

How about adding Nacua, and remove Corrum.... I think that would move the needle.

Two years is gonna come quickly and we are going to need a QB.... Though Nacua is one hell of a football player, good WR's are a dime a dozen. And Stafford just needs good / above average WR's and a smart TE (Kelce) that's available every weekend.

Ferguson still looks lost, Higbee is always hurt and Parkinson seems to get dinged up.

Round 1: 2 picks (Own, via ATL)
Round 2: 1 pick
Round 3: 1 pick
Round 5: 2 picks (Own, via TEN)
Nacua
Ferguson
All 2027 1st and 2nd round picks
Zero
They arent trading the pick

Try it on Madden, and get back to us.
I don't know what that means:

But I think taking a crack at getting the Raiders #1 pick to get a accurate thrower, high-IQ player, and 6'5", 225lb frame is something you have to go after.

If Stafford was under 35 years old no need but he's gonna be 39 years old at the end of next season. If Stafford gets a bad injury, he's done.

It was simply a humorous attempt to communicate something I said to you just last week when I posted that ... "I think you would make a lousy GM"
Well I think the Rams not thinking about the not so distant future of needing a QB and praying nothing happens to Stafford, would be bad planning by any GM.

I'm hoping the Rams brass at the very least take a shot at getting the #1 pick..... We need a QB more than anything right now.

The small things we can get through free agency.

I don't think that is what they have done the past two years. I don't think that is their thinking at all.

Any team with a top-QB, paid top-$, is likely Toast if they lose that QB for an extended period of time.

The hope is that, should the starter go down for 4-6 games, that there is a solid back-up who can help the team win at least half those games to stay in contention until the starter returns. The Rams have paid for and capably filled that role with Garoppolo. They HAVE Not and ARE Not ignoring the position.

The Rams have been Practical and Realistic

The Las Vegas Raiders NEED a Quarterback Much ... MUCH ... MUCH ... more than the Rams; and just about any other team in the NFL.

Acquiring the #1 overall pick just does not seem .... IN ANY WAY ... Practical or Realistic to me.

Your trade suggestions reads ridiculous to me.

The small things we can get through free agency.
Finally, up-grades to the Secondary, plus another WR, are far from 'small things' in my opinion.

Furthermore, there is usually not a ton of significant talent available in Free Agency; and what talent is there, tends to be significantly over-priced.

To over-spend in Free Agency can be reckless, dangerous and short-sighted, especially when the Rams have so many quality players that will be up for new contracts in the next two years.

Less expensive talent comes through the draft; and, your suggestions will rob the Rams of ALL their picks.

I am going to tap-out now.

The Rams are all fired up to have Stafford back and have made it clear that they have the resources to go out and add the pieces they need to win it all.
So it sure would appear someone isnt paying attention if they think the best course of action is to put all of those resources towards Stafford's replacement
I see you though, just throwing stuff out there to start an argument, any argument will do!

Well that's because you see things as an argument if it doesn't align with your thought process.

I'm just thinking if Stafford get's hurt which is a real possibility with his age and lack of mobility.

A QB isn't an immediate need, but trying to get a QB as an immediate need if your starting QB goes down will become even more difficult.

The Rams as is has a Super Bowl team. What happens two years from now when Stafford is retired or an unfortunate injury...... Stetson becomes our QB?????

I just feel if there is an opening to get a QB like Mendoza we should at least explore the opportunity.... Even if it means parting with a player like Nacua it should be considered.

There is no "opening" to get Mendoza
Period

The only thing is, what draft capital would it take to move up from #13 to #1? You’re talking multiple 1st round picks (and probably some later rounders) for a team that still has some major flaws that need to be patched up.

You may want to take a quick look at post #37 on page 2 of this thread and read what the poster suggested the Rams offer in a trade-up to #1.
