Your relationship with Chief fans is not uncommon in the slightest.

Generally sports fans that don't support the local team carries a disdain towards the fans that surround them. Imagine being in PA with Philly sports. That's my situation living 120 miles north of the city. Over the years I've accepted my hatred only stems towards jealousy. The awful fans are the only ones who stand out. I can accept cockiness but I'm unable to tolerate blind bias/ignorance and the complete absence of humility.

I get what your saying and yeah I can see what you have had to go through being close to philly. I actually dont have anything against the chiefs NOW.My reason for always hating them in the past was mainly because of their owner Lamar Hunt. The Hunt family is so corrupt.

Plus marty the moron shittenheimer was a real A hole and their general manager carl peterson i totally hated, they were corrupt from top to bottom, their all gone now so i really have nothing against the chiefs now.I cant hate Clark just because i hated his dad obviously.cant hate him for the actions of his father.

I have friends that are chiefs fans and I have wished them well.they are obviously not the ignorant kind that we have seen in the comments posted by chiefs fans, they are nothing like them.

as i said,if they get home field advantage ,i see this team being unstoppable from going to the superbowl.since as i said, the cheaters wont have the home town refs in their pockets so they can illegally win.lol they at least are not the classless organization they are.LOL I always root for them when they play THAT team obviously.LOL

Personally speaking, as someone who grew up in the LA area, I think you post is way the freak out of line.
(which is not exactly what I'd like to say).
if I were preparing a thesis towards destruction I would understand your frustration. My overwhelming lack of desire to visit a city shouldn't define me. That's cool you're proud of where you came from, but I'm just talking shit and being honest. I really don't care where Rams call home, it's not like they've ever been in a city I can causally drive to. I can see myself relocating over the years it's just a bummer that L.A. will certainly not be a potential host.

That's cool you're proud of where you came from, but I'm just talking crap and being honest.

It might just be that he's a tad sensitive that people in California are losing their homes and dying and stuff and you just called them a bunch of degenerates (or whatever). I get that it's just a message board and you're super cool and everything but maybe now's not the time to throw stones at Californians, regardless of the forum?

No problem - not moving to Scrotum, PA anytime soon myself.

Mahomes was awesome last night, he accounted for 8 touchdowns!!

Ok so 2 of them were for the Rams but still...

Looks like KC got the better of the Sammy Watkins over Cooks deal. Oh, wait a minute

I have a hard time accepting my team plays for a city of degenerates.

Have you ever been to STL?

I've been all over the country, Mexico, Canada, every major city, etc. LA is an amazing place.

So Chief fans go on an over reacting tirade about MP on top of Patty and in the end MP was helping him. Their are a bunch of hungover fans in KC feeling embarrassed today.

Below is from an article I read:

After Rams linebacker Samson Ebukam‘s interception return for a touchdown in Monday night’s epic against the Chiefs, it looked like Rams cornerback Marcus Peters got in Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes‘ face to rub it in while Mahomes was on the ground after trying to stop Ebukam. While that would not seem totally out of character for the former Chief, it wasn’t as it seemed.

Mahomes said after the game that Peters was “helping me out” and wide receiver Tyreek Hill said it was “all laughs and smiles” facing off against his former teammate.

Peters seemed to feel the same way when the 54-51 win was in the books.

“I love it, man,” Peters said, via a transcript provided by the team. “The best thing about this is that I got to see my teammates and I got to see my old coaches and stuff. I miss those guys. Really, honestly, I miss those guys. When you’re a part of an organization like that and you go in and you’re a part of the locker room, you understand how it feels to be around some people, but you still have love for them. I wish those guys nothing but success.”

Peters has had his bad moments in 2018, but came up with an interception in the fourth quarter that would have helped ice the game had the Rams been able to run more than 14 seconds off the clock on the ensuing possession

Wow, all the AFL documentaries paint Lamar Hunt as a pioneer and one of the good guys who stuck it out and formed a league after rejections. While that part may be true, I guess you've heard of some not so good guy things that may have happened since then. Hunt Sr. and the early Chiefs are what I liked most about this org, it's the current fans that come across as arrogant and delusional and therefore this win is that much sweeter. I'd still rather have these Chiefs represent the AFC at the end than the stinkin' Cheatriots.

As someone who did not, that comment was insulting and I hope the mods take action because I am not on this forum to read that kind of crap

NO, it's not "honest" to call any city a "city of degenerates" when you have hundreds of thousands or in the case of major cities, MILLIONS of people of faith and in every city, mostly hard working people who are living the struggle.

My church home is still in Culver City, CA with a fantastic faith community and I take tremendous umbrage to this characterization.

I grew up in LA and left for reasons including my fixed income couldn't keep up with the rising cost of living.

But that level of ignorance of labeling an entire city as "degenerates" right as they are coming together after a mass shooting AND wildfires that have leveled so much is beyond ignorant.

It's callous, rude and heartless.

If that's who you want to be, that's on you, but that's not this place. It's not who we are here.

So check that.

A few years back when the Rams moved from St. Louis to L.A. we tightly moderated that topic by keeping it confined to one thread and either merging or deleting threads that centered around that discussion.

There were cries of censorship and mods being overly controlling. Now you can see from a few comments in this thread how any posts that insult a particular city can cause dissension and why we handled the Rams move in that way.

Let's get back to the main topic of this thread: what Chiefs fans are saying.

Hopefully Peters getting humbled all season has changed his attitude and this is a sample of him moving in the right direction.

I think Peters has better veteran leadership on this team to help him out vs when he was in Kansas City. I also think there were some external politics at hand that led to his reputation going down so quickly. Fans are trying to act like he's dirty, when most likely he was telling Mahomes something along the lines of "Don't try to tackle a fucking linebacker you dolt, that's how you get yourself hurt with these guys falling on top of you."

I don't think the Chiefs are going to make the Super Bowl. Even in the AFC. Their OL offers too many chinks in that armor, and when you have a young QB--even one as good as Mahomes--you don't have that much room for error when it comes to giving up pressures.

Patriots are a seasoned team that will probably take advantage. Same with Pittsburgh. Maybe even the Chargers too, who are a much better team right now than they were early season. Chargers might have the most balanced team in the conference, and just got Bosa back.

I have been to StL, I was a season ticket holder there even though I lived in Alabama. StL, minus the East side, is an awesome city. LA has places you don't want to go also.

But calling LA a "city of degenerates" and acting like STL is some clean, safe blue-collar small town is ludicrous.

Agoura Hills, then my senior year moved to South Orange County and El Toro High School.

Many of my friends went to Westlake, just as it opened up.

One year, I joined my friends for their senior prank at Westlake. It was epic!
