I honestly think that Corbett can solve the right guard issue, putting Blythe on the bench for backup purposes. Young solves the inside linebacker spot.
Otherwise, what can we do to improve? And if we do, what will be the cost? Those are what I'm concerned about.
Any OL who might come available during the season will come with a ton of competitive offers from other teams so it's hard for me to imagine a situation where Les pulls off another deal.
Agree.
Since Gervase was elevated from the practice squad to the regular roster, i'd like to see the Rams raid another teams practice squad at any position where they see fit to improve depth. We can still bring a player aboard from another team without the cost of free agency as we only have 9 guys listed on our own p/s currently. Among the 31 other teams, there has to be 1 practice squad player the Rams scouting department likes for future potential. jmo.
I understand that, but bringing another player on board allows us to place a lesser player on waivers who could fill out our own practice squad once he returns. It also adds depth at a competitive position for 2020. If the Rams were to find a ps player off another roster, Hager, Demby or John Kelly might be waived. jmo.I don't think that's possible. You can raid another team's PS to put a player on your 53, but not to add to your own PS. Otherwise teams would be raiding their opponent's PS every week to get info on them.
Not wishing misfortune on anyone but Bortles, Higbee and Cooks come to mind.
Player Every NFL Team Should Shop at the Trade DeadlineJosh Reynolds comes to mind for me...especially now that Sanu got traded to NE - for a 2nd!
Player Every NFL Team Should Shop at the Trade Deadline
Los Angeles Rams: WR Josh Reynolds

When Rams wideout Cooper Kupp went down with a torn ACL last season, the team turned to Josh Reynolds. He filled in admirably, starting eight games and catching 29 passes for 402 yards and five touchdowns.
With Kupp healthy—and on a remarkable run—Reynolds has been an afterthought. Despite appearing in all seven games, he has just two catches for 34 yards.
If the Rams are not going to use Reynolds, they may be able to trade him to a team that can. The Texas A&M product has proved he can be a factor when given the opportunity, and there are several teams that appear to be in the wide receiver market. The Panthers and Eagles could be among the teams interested in Reynolds.

What would they trade back? The Rams aren't going to make a trade just for the sake of a trade - they see themselves as contenders still.
