I can't wait until we get rid of preseason altogether. There were thousands of empty seats, so the final prices for tix must have been dirt cheap.

How what do you explain that huge batch of imbeciles throwing hands in the 100 level seats?

Tix with a $175 face value were sold for $25 to asshats a couple hours before kickoff. Why? Because not even the season ticket holders really want to go to the preseason games. (confession: I sold my two 300 level seats for $39 each the day before).

Move the season to 20 games already. Give every team two byes. Start the playoffs in February and hold the Superbowl the weekend before March madness.
start the first weekend of Sept like they used to.

I can't agree. Those empty pre-season seats are the fault of ownership/management, if they were truly interested there are dozens of ways to get fans in the seats through incentives & philanthropy. Lowering the costs of pre-season games creates a means for the financial underclass to join the ranks as new fans, especially kids & teens. The team can still make money on parking & concessions.
I also want to maintain the 3 pre-season game system, this allows management & fans a better look at those players fighting for a job, for some this is the only NFL job experience they will ever have, it also allows the young players a taste for the speed of real NFL football, not a watered down practice session. I believe these games are invaluable for those participating. Guys like Alaric Jackson, Jordan Meredith, Anchrum & Justin Lawler were noticeable players in this last game, and I imagine a few guys looked worse than originally anticipated also, so lets not make it easier to sign unqualified players.

A 3 game, 3 week pre-season, a week off before the regular season, an 18 game regular season with 3 BYE weeks, and now you have a 25 week season (24 televised). You'll have increased NFL revenue (both TV Network & butts in seats) by 4 more games, and you have better rested and healthier players due to the extra BYE weeks.
And we still haven't added or discussed post season play-offs or the Super Bowl yet.
jmo.

There's an underlying seething anger which permeates a very divided society today, posters often insert vague but telling words which may express their true feelings on an issue, regardless of how controversial that subject might be.
Had you just stuck with 'Covid', I'd have had no problem as you didn't get into the issue of mask wearing, but when you added BLM and the following sentence, you threw down the gauntlet by expressing which side of the issue you had taken. Many people judge other people by their politics, right or wrong, I happen to fall into that category, and to maintain a somewhat friendly football forum atmosphere, staying free from politics is probably the only way to keep this site from devolving into something that was never intended. Many Rams fans live across several states and countries, but the team itself is in Los Angeles, California, an area known to be more liberal than others, so remaining non-political with our comments is paramount to keeping the peace and maintaining some decorum.
I'm pretty opinionated myself and have received warnings, so when you feel that urge to express yourself politically, it's a lot safer to just hit delete before opening up that can of worms. jmo.
Ok, I suppose I can see why you read it that way. But you are assuming to much, IMO. My point had nothing to do with "sides" and everything to do with the fact that this country has been through enough in the last 2 years. I simply was stating if you can't just be a decent human being, then you shouldn't be allowed to participate in this type of venue. That's it...
That said, point taken.

Because you brought politics into it. If there's two things that kill a board, it's politics and religion. I make it a point never to discuss mine.
Wasn't about politics Momento, but I do understand how it looked/read. Understood.

When you tied this fight to unrelated and redhot political topics and squeezed your own opinions about them in under the context of talking about something else.
It's like circumventing the rules if not outright ignoring them.

Fwiw I didn't mark your post as inappropriate. But I wasn't upset at all to see that two others did.
Got it. For the record, it was not my actual intent and have no issue with the folks that did. I get what they are saying. I'm not like that, at all.

I didn't take anything you said as being belligerent or shit-stirring - I took it at face value and didn't assume you meant anything that you didn't expressly say.

No worries dude. :beer2:

Here ... Here!

We got a woman that is so big, she had to pay for Two Seats instigating a brawl where one very fat guy is beating on the almost naked ass of another very, Very, VERY fat guy.

If that's not a topic worthy of discussion, well ... then beat-my-ass!!!

Nah let's not see that. (n)

Back on topic: Would love to see that fat ugly bitch fired from her job, but looks like she may be a so-called "business owner." Yeah right :ROFLMAO: ... if so I hope she gets boycotted.

And to dumb fat clippers boy, even more reason to cheer as they continue to lose...

oh man, that guy really wanted to pop her one on the chin. he thought better of it but once the other guy got involved he couldn't help himself. if this gets to court the guy has no chance.

with these videos it should be mandatory for there to be a summary of how it got to that stage.

.
Which guy? The guy with glasses has every right to defend himself when slapped. They lucky he stopped.

Nah. He shoved her head back and she slapped him. If this actually made it to legal system, he's toast.

He pushed her hand away that's not considered a shove. What her husband/boyfriend or whatever he was, was a shove. Then punches were thrown. So that's a slap and a shove that dude received before he retaliated with punches. Which is self defense.

no ... his reaction to her swinging her finger in his face was "don't touch me bitch...

hard to tell from the video, but a "don't touch me bitch" probably means she was making contact with her finger, swinging it in his face, and that was his reaction... what i saw was him pushing her arm slowly away, and then she slapped him

i'm siding with the dreads on this one.. she made the mistake of pushing the envelope, and the poor guy next to her got the short end of the stick...

and the people sitting above them were shouting "she slapped him first".. so..

go rams

I had to rewatch the video I missed his shove. He initiated the contact , she and her guy friend can claim self defense. Likely will be thrown out unless someone has criminal history.

2 short thing
…video shows women being the catalyst for fights recently (wtf girls)
…people forgot how to interact with each other since the RONA happened

Well, I'm not seeing him shoving her head back, but almost simultaneously he's telling her not to touch him. Seems odd that he would say such a thing if he told her not to touch him while it's OK for him to touch her. Either way, her boyfriend took the beating once he engaged. Some women really do believe they are immune from this kind of behavior, even when they may have started it. It's a different world today, both party's could have just walked away, now they may all be banned for life from this stadium. Was it worth it ?
