Puff puff Give.

Look bottomline it never should of been this close of a game. We lost by 1. Thats bad. Like disrespectful. I’m not mad, I’m disappointed. Last years Rams would of blew this game outta the water. Would be no need for these concerns.

With the game on the line:

Wilson failed to get a first down.

Goff moved his team down the field 60 yards for the game winning fg.

I’m not mad. Our defense needs work but we have a cake schedule ahead.

Yep.
But you forgot McVay going for two way too soon in the game.
Surrendering a point and losing by a point.
Yeah.
I understand why he went for it however. Made sense.
Remember the Seahawks soccer idiot missed a chippy FG.
This game was one where both sides could lost several reasons of they lost.

Overall my biggest issue is we don’t tackle well. So many missed tackles. It’s like we are forgetting the fundamentals. How many times did we whiff on a tackle?! Far too many. I do however believe we are still a pretty good team. The anomaly last Sunday was just that. We just have to get back to basics.

Both Seahawk games last year came down to the last possession.

Goff stared down his WRs. There was Everett wide open for an easy TD and Goff went to Kupp.

Defense kept tackling on top and Carson, Dissly and others easily slipped out to gain another five yards.

Defense needed to wrap low at the legs.

Next game doesn’t get easier on D.
SF will punish a team for lack of discipline on D.
Lots of speed and lots of misdirection.

One last rant from me. Gurley is not Gurley. He is now for whatever reason completely average. Not scary catching in the flats. Not an angry powerful runner. He's dancing and juking at the line of scrimmage. I'm not mad at him. A broken body or spirit is what it is. But don't play him then. Try out #34 for a game and see how he does. And hell, get Henderson in on some plays and see if he can do more than Gurley. -------- However tonight was on the defense. Wade and the scheme and/or players is not working. :(
Not sure we're watching the same game. Gurley ran off right tackle a lot this game. Why? Had an LB lined up there. Six to eight down on the line. I'll take those odds all day long. Allen could not contain Ford all game long. Blew plays up consistently. Outweighs Allen by a good 30 lbs.

This is the reason we could not consistently run the ball effectively. Watch replays pls.

We lost by 3 inches.

Sucks, but it was there for the taking. Nothing that happened before that FGA even matters. Execute that one play and it’s game over. Feel bad for GZ. That’s gotta be an awful, awful feeling.

There are a bunch of things to clean up.

We must fix the run game. There were several times I felt we could have run on last drive and didn't. McVay is getting too predictable when we are down.

Unhappy with Run D. Overall the defense must improve. I have said for the last several years Wade is not the right DC. Sorry but I'm right he did good in the SB but overall with this talent we should be better. This is not based on this bad loss it is long-term unhappiness.

Goff can't throw 70 last week and 49 today that is not a winning formula for success imo.

Overall we should have won the game, but not sure we should have had to put Goff in that position.

Nothing positive about 3-2 and 3rd place in the division. Can't rely on a kick to save you .
Defense kept running full speed at Wilson instead of boxing him in . Side step and make a play .
This loss will cost them at the end of the year . 4th and 5 and it looked like candy from a baby .

To be fair, Gurley had a very good start. For some reason when we were in the red zone for the first time McVay decided to pull him out and put in Brown. Completely killing his rhythm.

I'm going to anti-vent right now. This loss was a kick in the nuts, but I think we're about to start rolling again. Feel free to call me delusional, but we're going to win six out of our next seven games. McVay has been doing some tinkering, but he's figured it out.

Goff is still inconsistent, as is the OL. But both took steps forward today. I think the O is starting to heat up and will catch fire. Gerald Everett's emergence will play a large role both in the O catching fire and McVay figuring out the counter-punch.

The D is the D. Hopefully, Hager and Rapp are able to return and improve things a bit.

I appreciate your comment but you're not really trying to tell me Gurley is the same player as early last year .... are you? There is no way most of us here on this board believe that.
