The Rams D was struggling to get a stop.
Without the flag maybe they burn another min and a half off of the clock.

In the end, he put us in a position to win. That INT was a perfect pass to Everrett and he got the team under 50 yards for a Legatron FG. We should have won this game. *shrugs

This was one of those games.
20 little things.
Not finishing early drives.
Gurley fumbling at the Seattle 30.
McVay making a hideous challenge and losing a time out.
Missed tackles.
The Matthews roughing call.
Everett dropping a ball that was picked.
It’s a long list in a close game.
The Rams are in third place the NFC West.
A long way to go.
But, the defense is very disappointing after a solid start.

Seems like everyone is just a tick less polished than last year. Usually the Rams are really good about not bum rushing Wilson and keeping lock down coverage until the play is over.

One last rant from me. Gurley is not Gurley. He is now for whatever reason completely average. Not scary catching in the flats. Not an angry powerful runner. He's dancing and juking at the line of scrimmage. I'm not mad at him. A broken body or spirit is what it is. But don't play him then. Try out #34 for a game and see how he does. And hell, get Henderson in on some plays and see if he can do more than Gurley. -------- However tonight was on the defense. Wade and the scheme and/or players is not working.

Lucky or not, referree aided or not, the 2018 Rams wins this type of game. The 2019 Rams are a little lost right now.

That's the way the NFL is... one play on inch between victory and defeat.

I still like our talent.. especially on offense.

The defense needs to figures something out fast however.

The roughing play was total horseshit.. but it was only going to be 2nd and 10 and they been marching on us all day - so not sure how significant it was.

Surrendering a point and losing by a point.

And a free down. 2nd + 10 with the clock stopped vs 1st and 10 15 yards closer.

No way to know whether it helped or hurt us at that point. But it definitely made it easier for them to get the TD.

As I said in the GDT, that play was a Schotty special. And that play alone kills the argument that we were outcoached.

That play call was bizarre.

That play call was bizarre.

It truly was, but right before they ran it, it crossed my mind that Schotty might get cute and do something stupid. Sure enough ...

So glad he's on our OC now. He damn near cost them the game, and the only reason he did is because GZ was about a yard right of where he needed to be.
