Well, if you are hating Jared Goff, get used to many more years of him. The oline is the main issue, imo.

Funny how last year some of us dared to say he "wasn't elite" after 6 good games and we were the laughing stock of the board.

that being said.. way too much is being put on the offense.

The offense did enough to win the game... we gave up 48 pts on defense. and yeah the turn overs helped... but if you were watching the game - we couldn't stop them at all

Outside of the turnovers I think this was the best we've moved the ball through the air in some time. That is a plus, but we can't put the whole game on Goff and expect him to throw 70 times. Like wtf??

But were also unable to run the ball. O line is absolutely horrible. It's a personnel issue on the o-line and I dont see an easy fix.

Yup, BUT 28 of those points came off turn-overs and all of them involved the 136 million dollar man.

And the Rams play lights out on Thursday only to confuse the shit out of us as fans even more.

This was an ugly loss, I'm interested to see what McVay has to say about it. The usual "this one was on me" narrative isn't going to answer the avalanche of questions coming his way.
I mean, that shit is on him though. Bad play calling. And he is the head coach, so the defensive crap that didn't get fixed except for like one drive, also his fault.

Players had a huge hand in it too, don't get me wrong. But saying it's his fault also isn't wrong.

Goff missed three guys for touch downs threw two bad interceptions, one he was hit on. That is the summary of Jared Goff today. He's had a down year thus far, but I'm not going to overreact and bench him for Bortles. The running game did Goff no favors, the Offensive line did Goff no favors. The man is feeling it more than anyone else here. And you want to ruin a man's confidence because you're upset? Defense was awful too today.

Lol on second thought, maybe we should start Bortles. I think we deserve a reality check. The man threw 68 times and still had a 66% completion percentage today. I'd suggest over half of you get really comfy with your quarterback. Because dude is going nowhere. After two pro bowl seasons, you're stuck with him. We paid him, because despite what anyone on this board thinks; his team and the Rams organization believes in him. Onto Seattle, we win there its a big one.

What did I just witness, that was a humiliating and humbling defeat. I can not recall in recent memory a worst defeat. I don't know what to think of Goff except that it is a good thing he got paid before this shit show.

That pass he threw to a wide open Gurley where he was held by the DB
(and the flag was thrown)
Even if TG wasn't held Goff overthrew that one and it was a walk in TD.

That deep would be TD pass to a wide open Cooks was overthrown. Goff had to re-adjust to get it out but Cooks had 5 yds on that DB.

He floated another one out towards the sideline that would he have just put some zip into it....

He missed a crossing Cooks for an easy 7 yards on 2nd & 10.

He's staring his targets down & cutting off half the field coverage.

I'm a patient fan but it looks like he missed training camp to me.

One thing on McV. I feel like he's micro-managing at times. Hard to put my finger on what i mean exactly. I did like that he went to up tempo but that was kinda necessary after the early turnovers.

Yeah Goff has not been great this year that I agree with.

But outside of 1 turnover all their points off turnovers were 50 yard plus drives.

Uhhh okay dude, sure thing! Throw away the stats, start watching games on TV because you're obviously listening to games on AM 710.
Explain "regressing". You obviously listen to talking heads throw that term around. If YOU were watching the game you might have notice how we ran for a whole 28 yards. You might have noticed Havenstein getting beat like a drum. You might have noticed Whitworth getting penalized twice.

It is dumb but it is also a strategy. They are trying to do load management like the Raptors did. They want him to be fine in January and February. We will see how it works.

Two open TD's were definitely on Goff. I said he wasn't perfect. And what pick 6? The one Peters returned?

To summarize this game as "Goff ain't it" is disregarding the fact that the dude had no run game, was hit on half of his drop backs, threw 68 times and was under siege all day. And our defense had seemingly no answer for anything the Bucs did.

When's the last time a team won by throwing the ball almost 70 times?
I meant the pick 6 that Goff threw. Or maybe the defender was down on the goaline. I can't remember. It was his second pick and it was an ugly one. I get it though. This was a team loss; but I'm not gonna convince myself that Goff would be much better "if only". I've been as big a Goff supporter as any which is why wiping the egg off of my face on other boards and to peers is gonna suck lol but the dude is a Fairweather QB. When things go right he's great. When his receivers aren't wide open or the pocket isn't pristine or when Mcvay doesn't call the absolute right call he falls apart. I'm really hoping I'm wrong but this loss has me thinking a little harder about expectations.

well, did Goff get pressured by a Dline all game that wasn't stopped by our Oline? I would say yes. We have Goff for several more years and we know that he isn't Kurt Warner, he needs mor help than Warner had. If we don't improve the Oline, Goff will look like garbage.

Rams scored 40 points guys.... 14 points of the total was directly off turnovers from us.

The defense was atrocious sorry.

The offense was messy.. but yeah
