not really surprised about the cuts except one, JFM. I know that he didn't dominate when he was playing against backups. That was very concerning. Maybe he didn't put in the time this offseason. I'm glad that Kolone got cut. We need a backup at C

Here is what I don't get. WHY IS MICAH KISER STILL ON THE ACTIVE ROSTER AND NOT ON IR? He's taking a roster space...a guy who had pec surgery and is out indefinitely should be on IR. Go ahead and designate him for return if they want but why take a roster space for him? Why is Neary the alcoholic still on the roster? Think of the guys they cut but kept: Jojo, Kiser and Neary who is an alcoholic on the active roster. I simply don't get it.

You mean those guys are worth more than Hodge, Wolford and one of the DB's? As far as o-line is concerned, Hitner played RG very well, so-so at OT but he would have been worth more than an alcoholic Neary who frankly isn't that good to begin with. He's had his share of being turnstile and pancaked. Jamil took the blame when Neary disappeared and wasn't there to take the handoff.

I'm very pro-FO but these moves are head-scratchers IMO.

A lot of these guys I hope we can get past waivers onto the PS but I'm disappointed in particular with Petersen, Allen, and Kelly being cut. Oh well. Snead knows his job.

I'm not traumatized by any of those three - I hope Allen especially makes the PS, but just looking good against guys who won't be in the NFL means he's the right guy right now for the team. I'm disappointed that Kelly didn't look better in his second camp. I suspect the Rams do have their eyes on another RB, probably to add to the PS and then promote after a week.

Pretty tough for our RB's to run with such little support from the OL blocking for them. Our 2'nd & 3'rd string OL talent was quite depressing at times, and that includes two of the guys we kept in Evans & Demby. I'm guessing they are a big reason why Kelley & Davis got the ax. jmo.

His blood alcohol level for that incident doesn’t suggest a seasoned alcoholic. Rather the opposite.

Do we actually have lnly 3 RBs on our 2019 roster right now!?:hellno:

Here are the names of some other 2019 Rams RBs on today's Roster right now:cool::
Nsimba TavonAustin Webster
JoJo TavonAustinII Natson
Robert JetSweep Woods
Brandon JetSweep Cooks

During SB LIII McVay forgot about all those Jet Sweeps we successfully ran in 2017 and 2018. Cudda worn out that older slower New England D by making them run sideline to sideline chasing our cheetah wideouts IMHO!!!

McVay is going to employ alot of deception and some gimmick plays in 2019 I believe.

I think it would be like Bortles, with the Bills and Eagles paying his current contract and us able to pay a nominal fee for him to replace the CJ Anderson role on this year's squad.

Neary does not count right now due to his suspension. Kiser is on IR.

Neither player is taking up a roster spot right now. So your rant makes no sense.

I think it is important to note, we only see these players a few plays, against ather players not making their teams. They see them study, work out, interact with the players and coaches and above all, They see them in practice, working against our best. So to think you know better than the coaches and snead is rediculas.

And to go a step further, McVay has clearly indicated that the pre-season games don't really matter, so whatever we saw was just glorified practise for the camp bodies.

Why not a vent thread for cut down day? We all spend time watching and trying to analyze players from offseason reports to camp reports to watching games. We all have favorites.

"The Press" explained some of the thinking behind making the roster moves. For depth guys, their special team contributions are very important.

Who knew that Lawler will not be out long term. Hate that we don't get this info. That changes things. Plus Patrick showing out was a big plus in both LBer versatility and special teams. Reeder over Allen surprised most. Allen still has a chance to make the PS. JFM being cut is a surprise but, he didn't look good in the preseason games.

Really liked Hodge but, Webster is so smooth. McVay mentioned his ability on special teams coverage and returns which gave him that extra plus. He looks to have a bright future. Surprise Kelly was cut.

Hatfield?

Have to see who makes the PS and any other moves before it's all over. Surprises but, nothing to get really upset over for me.
