Proof there's no such thing as too much depth.
So true... having the team's #3 WR out is not a positive for Coaches Liam Coen/ Zac Robinson/ Eric Yarber but for the other lesser-known WR's who were out for most of last season (
TuTu Atwell/
Jacob Harris)& the new guy
Lance McCutcheon ...... it's a positive. There has been a ton of positive articles authored during the spring drill on Atwell & McCutcheon.
Some might look @ RB's who do have the skills to be solid receivers out of the backfield like
Jake Funk (4.43 sec/40) this might assist him to make the MR53.
Right now I am thinking that a healthy
Raymond Calais is moving up fast & ahead of Funk as the #2 RB in the depth chart @ RB. But Calais is far more KR/PR/RB than a receiving back. There's not much in the way for Calais is there? Can you consider the continuously injured
Darrell Henderson or quickly injured "broken foot"
Kyren Williams as bonified competition?
OC Coen's RB
A.J. Rose has a well-documented resume lacking in passing game skills & struggles in pass protection. New RB
Trey Ragas isn’t a proven receiver either in college or NFL either but was the resident power back when he played with Calais in college they were a very good duo.
It may be best to look in the TE room for any extra help in the receiving department if Jefferson is out for any long length of time.
Will Jefferson’s time away give Tutu Atwell a chance to move ahead?
