Tutu I am sure will be better this year. My issue is not his weight, there are many top NFL wrs that were in the 170 - 185 range it is who is on the team. We have 2 1A wrs if OBJ comes back that is 3 1A wrs and throw in VJ where does Tutu get much of a chance. I think the scouts felt we needed a top end speed wr in the draft due to the 2020 season and I contend the OLdidnt hold up giving Goff less time combined with he didn't trust his reads so he checked down and teams started crowding the box. Stafford trusts his reads especially after getting pounded in Detroit for so many years and best in the NFl against the blitz so that issue disappears.

I hope Tutu can become a Tyreke Hill just need to put in the work and be ready.

I do agree he looked great in preseason so this season naturally he should be that much better.

Sean McVay said from day 1..."you can never have too many weapons". It would be a nice 'problem' to have and up to McVay to figure out how to use them. OBJ, if he comes back, won't be back until November. Maybe December. I wouldn't worry about that potential bonus to start the season.

I hope he is more of a star than a 2nd round pick underachieving or buried on the depth chart. Otherwise he was a wanted pick imo.

Tyreke Hill is really physical, where I doubt Tutu is... Not many tiny tough as Fck guys at that size. Steve Smith Sr., Hill & DJax. And that physicalness is key for those tiny Wrs

Responding from outside the epistemic bubble of TUTU haters, critics, or whatever you are comfortable being called

I am glad to hear he is engaged in his development and utilizing the great talent around him to increase his production and contributions.

All cut up

“It’s night and day,” Yarber said. “He’s progressing very, very well mentally and physically. The game has slowed down for him. He knows his plays like the back of his hand.”
Yarbs summarized things pretty well in that article back in June. New year now and camp is here so it's time to make plays. Hoping to hear a lot of buzz around this dude this year, otherwise Goff may be getting a new receiver. :laugh3:

If he can run some jet sweeps, WR screens and track down deep passes on occasion I will call it a win.
Agree. If he can be a DJax Light type of weapon, I am pleased. Still not sure why we took him so high, but that's not his fault. Maybe Snead himself was high.....

Hey at least now he looks like he could break a tackle from the punter on his returns
Shit that would get me out my chair cheering!! Lol Unfortunately, someone with 15-30 lbs on him I don’t think that’s likely.

4.39 40.. I pray he’s faster on the field than the track.

I mean it’s progress. He’s gone from twig to building some ’wirey strength.’ Honestly with his 4.32 speed he just needs to get strong enough to take hits and stay healthy. I have no doubt McVay will get him involved this year and he’ll surprise some folks. The kid runs good routes and has nice hands, we can work with that. I think too many people have ptsd from Tavon but they’re completely different players. I’m trying to will it into existence.

I'm guessing he doesn't do a whole lot this season. Not because of him really. But honestly... Look who's in front of him and the type receivers that are in front of him.

If OBJ comes back, we essentially have 3 #1 type receivers with Van (most team's #2 and potentially a 1 with a lot of teams), Skow making a big impression (at least with me) as a rook, etc...

That's a steep hill to get over.

He may have been a questionable pick where we took him but I have hard time being too negative on how we've spent our picks and hope he pans out. I don't think you can point to a regime that has been better. Even the great Ozzie had plenty that didn't pan out.

But who here wouldn't love to be wrong on this kid. If he works out, he will be excitement in a pint bottle. I'd be stoked if we even get a couple highlights out of him.

He doesn't make or break this team. How refreshing is that for either a #1 or 2 given our somewhat recent history.?

They talked him up last year too. I recall being very intrigued by him.

Receiver cuts are gonna suck ass though. That's for sure.
Kupp
ARob
Van
Tutu
Skow
Harris
Powell

We keep 7 right? When we resign OBJ do we keep 8? We need Powell for ST and I doubt we cut Harris or Skow but who knows what the rest of the roster looks like.
