Rams advanced stats: Updates on Troy Hill

Rams linebacker Micah Kiser has had all kinds of attention already this season. All kinds. Good kinds. Bad kinds.
As the most important player in the middle of the field for Brandon Staley’s defense, it is worth tracking how Kiser progresses throughout the season. In Week 1, he reportedly had seven missed tackles. In Week 2, he won defensive player of the week for the whole conference. What happened in Week 3?
Kiser was credited with allowing three of five passes to be completed (after going 10 of 15 against Carson Wentz in Week 2) for 58 yards and that touchdown to Bills tight end Tyler Kroft pictured above. The 11.6 yards per target against Kiser and 19.3 yards per completion were his worst marks of the three-game season. He was also credited with his ninth missed tackle of the year.
The only player in the NFL with more missed tackles is nobody. But Troy Hill is tied for fifth with six missed tackles.
Hill has also allowed 18 receptions, which is the fourth most, and 210 yards, which ranks as the sixth most. Given how bad most NFL pass defenses are as things stand today, it should be concerning to have any players who are getting beat that often, even if it is indicative of a team problem more than an individual problem. Which it may not be. It could be an individual problem.
Not a problem: Jalen Ramsey.
Though he allowed a touchdown to Stefon Diggs, his first given up of the season on a difficult assignment to cover, throws at Ramsey have gone 11 of 19 for only 97 yards.
In his first extensive action of the season, throws at safety Taylor Rapp went 4 of 4 for 62 yards and a touchdown for a perfect 158.3 passer rating. Getting back Jordan Fuller as soon as possible will be seen by many as a key to LA having more defensive success in the future.
And finally on the defense, Michael Brockers has two QB pressures through three games, while Samson Ebukam and Ogbonnia Okoronkwo have none and Kenny Young has one. Ebukam has played in 121 defensive snaps, Okoronkwo has been in on 51 and Brockers has played in 140. Not all pass rush situations of course, but the need for a pass rush presence in lieu of Dante Fowler Jr and Clay Matthews leaving has not come internally.
