Rams need to secure some CB’s for next season... So, this helps.

I wonder if this lowers his 2019 number, win - win?

Looks like the typical "you can never have enough DBs" signing. He has shown flashes of playing well in the #2 post

Just a WAG - I suspect that the total cash going to him is the same, but over a million of it is signing bonus spread over two years. That saves the Rams enough cap room to pay for a UDFA on the roster all season.

It's amazing isn't? just when we think what this team is going to do they totally blindside us.
I'm surprised by this move but I've said on other players that the coaches have guys they like and it doesn't always match with what us fans think. We're the ones that will have to learn to live with it cause I don't think we'll change Wade Phillips' mind :D

I’m mildly surprised, too.

But I think that it’s a de facto $5.25M two year deal. Very affordable insurance in case of injury or a ‘20 departure of either Peters or Talib.

The reason that I doubt that Hill will ever see that $3M bonus? David Long will surely see the field before Hill. That “bonus language” was written in for face saving purposes for Hill.

Wow, kinda surprised. Just re-watched the Denver game, and Hill got burnt deep early and often.

Granted, he was forced Into the starter’s role due toTalib’s injury, and Hill looked good in other games.

As always, I trust this FO though.

As always we need to see the contract details. Doesn't seem like a bad deal at all. If he was due 2 Million he gets a little more this year with a signing bonus. How much is guaranteed? Rams get the option for next year with most likely a little dead money.. The money is very reasonable for a backup. It's good insurance for the next two years. Hill has had good and bad moments. Could be he is ready to be more consistent when called upon.

Love Hill....Love him, glad he's back...Quite frankly shocking considering they gave his number to Weddle.

I agree, still very surprised on this one though.

I'm a fan too. I don't understand the Hill hate....the guy plays good football especially for a 4th or 5th CB. He graded out well by PFF too. Not that it means much to some fans.

I'd trust Peterson and Long over Hill. And I'm guessing that means that Hatfield and/or Peterson are gone?
