After what looked like a stronger start than usual the Rams have slid to the slow start lookin sumbishes they usually are, with shitty ass OL play and a general inability to find their ass with either hand in coverage. Additionally they are sitting on two first round picks, and this roster overall is definitely of high quality outside of a couple spots.

So. I think a Trade Deadline move is in order this year. And I think it's going to be an increasing item of discussion as we move forward.

My suggestion at this moment is to call the Browns and get Newsome. He's not an elite corner. But he's young and talented and would help us immensely. Maybe they'd send us their CB coach too, since ours seems to be busy doing everything other than coaching the actual CBs. :laugh2:

Im all for the rams getting someone as a solid 1b as long as they're not paying a kings ransom. It's gonna be tough tho. After how the rams played last week teams are gonna smell blood in the water and ask for steep compensation

We need a corner but who's really gonna trade us a good one though? I know many people may not want to hear it but we whiffed on getting Ramsey. I know he's not the same stud we had before but he's a whole lot fuckin better than the shit we've had on the field this year.

Just looked and only name I saw that I wouldn't mind trading for.....Trevon Diggs. Problem with that would be the compensation. Shit the options are start shit honestly. Think the Rams made a huge mistake not trying to improve the secondary. Everyone knew it was a weakness.

Some other good options are L'Jarius Sneed (Titans), Denzel Ward (Browns), and Greg Newsome (Browns).

I agree that the Browns are likely our best trade partner. Just a thought here, but with Harold Fannin flashing early, maybe we can trade for both Greg Newsome (or Denzel Ward) and David Njoku. Both are FAs after the season. We fill our hole at CB, and we add a dynamic TE who McVay can use like a chess piece.

I would love a number 1 type like Gardner, Stingley, Ward, Jaylon Johnson, Horn.

I would ship some draft compensation including first round pick and some premium picks.

The problem is all of these dudes are under massive 25-30m a year contracts.

I’m all for Ward but how often is there a trade for two players?

Plus you have a rookie TE as your first pick in the draft that gets pushed farther down the depth chart?

Ramsey was part of the equation that resulted in a title. So that trade was fine by me. Also I was fine with them moving him, and the timing of that was perfect. Actually I would have moved him a year prior.

But the issue is they haven't done a good job restacking the corners. Durant has been ok, Spoon played over his head for a while. We have safety playing slot for us. So yeah I would certainly welcome Ramsey right now. But hopefully we go get someone who is more on the upswing rather than the last few holes of the back nine.

I'd rather take on Ward than Newsome. Completely forgot about them for some reason. So I stand corrected, Diggs and Ward are the real only options I like. Don't really want Sneed. He isn't playing well with the Titans.

Definitely agree about not restacking. It's crazy that the Rams didn't even target a CB in the draft. Don't know why in the hell they thought our CB room was ok. Instead we have a TE that hasn't done shit because they always take awhile to develop. Hopefully Ferguson gets to show out more, but I would gave rather gone CB then Fannin or even Gadsen. Oh well, you know what they say about hindsight.

We need to keep that first. If Stafford retires after the season, we'll need ammunition to draft a successor (or trade for a QB).

A few months ago in the Ramsey trade (Steelers also acquired TE Jonnu Smith):
Njoku is a FA at the end of the year. We're trying to win a Super Bowl. We don't know when Ferguson will be ready to take on a big role. No big deal as far as I'm concerned. He can spend this year developing and then take on a bigger role next year. If he develops more quickly than expected, we use more 12 personnel. Win-win.

Yeah, I'd rather have Ward too, but he's going to cost a lot more than Newsome. Ward is one of the NFL's best CBs and isn't a FA at the end of the year. Newsome is a good CB who should be affordable in terms of draft compensation.

I hope we trade for o line depth or pick one off a practice squad. When Lampkin comes off the Eagles injured reserve, maybe the Rams claim whoever the Eagles put on their practice squad - hopefully Lampkin. I'm convinced we are undefeated if we had a healthy Lampkin on our team - blocking for field goals, extra points, lead blocker for overtime 4th down play.....

I'd rather have a surefire CB1 in Ward. Newsome is a question mark on that part. He's been very up and down. I don't want any part of that. We need a gamer. Read thar the Browns would be lucky to even get a 2nd rounder for him based off of what Ramsey got when we traded him away.

Newsome is a nice trade target also wouldn't mind taking Taylor-Britt off the Bungles hands. Not sure about Snead he has been very good in the past but this year he's been absolute garbage.

I wonder if the Giants would be open to trading Evan Neal. Free agent at the end of the year and the former 1st round OT pick is a back up right now at Guard.

Id like to get someone from the Browns Newsome would be cool but maybe targeting Ward would be better.

It really stings that the rams dumped DK and got picked up by the Seahawks and looks like he's having a great season so far. Not sure if its gonna last but id take him over any of our active CBs at this point. Spoon can't come back fast enough.

Yeah, he's doing well in Pittsburgh. They should have made a bigger effort to get him.

What type of draft comp do you estimate for each?
