It also frees up what would be his $18 million cap hit in ‘24. This team has proven they’re not afraid of dead money. And it may be they’re going to keep him around next year. But if the only reason we jeep somebody is cutting him only saves us $3 million that’s a terrible reason to give him a roster spot. Honestly there isn’t anybody right now at olb who’s earning their checks.I don’t know man. $3M is kind of a minimal savings; and Floyd has played well the past two seasons. I’d be inclined to gamble the $3M that he has a bounce-back season.
Also hoping he plays better over the next eleven weeks; and, just maybe, he’s been playing hurt.
