Didn't say he was but he should have sent the letter in. Nobody in sports is really a victim they make more money than we will ever see. My point just that he should have left on top. You didn't get him some help I don't want to come to work every day to do the job of 4 other people and yes I understand he is paid 40 million I'm just talking football perspective.
In my opinion if he see this coming he doesn't come back especially without some assistance. I would not be shocked if he retires at any point before the contract is over. Also we know AD to be a god and I believe he is in football terms just hope his spirits remain high and we get the same AD. But no I definitely understand no victim but sports mentality different than real world mentality.

The way you handle this Akers situation is bench him. The bench is an old, tried and true way of handling problem players.
Cam is not Dickerson. Dickerson could say fuck you I'm on the bench tonight and the team struggled without him so they had no choice but to move him. Cam, rather, is trying to prove what he can do. He is trying to overcome doubt about his injury and his ability post-surgery. So sitting him on the bench and him missing out on the remainder of this season plus the Rams owning his rights through next season is what you call the team having the control.
Rams just have to not be fucking pussies. Toughen up McVay. Quit trying to call it something it's not. He called you out in a team meeting, or was rumored to. If that's what happened call it what it is. Admit he pissed you off and that you're gonna bench his ungrateful ass to allow him time for reflection.
Then as the reality of the situation settles in with Cam, give him windows to work his way back.

- didn’t have a 4th for Cleveland and they wouldn’t budge
teams got savvy to our way really quickly and there are several teams very close to being dominant this year so they copied our way.
just because they understand our method doesnt mean they understand our madness.

If that is really what's going on. If Cam called him out because he was butt hurt by McVay's comments on his attitude, effort, ABILITY (post surgery), then it's a different thing. If Cam can't help move the sticks, he's riding the pine even without blowing up.

there are four positions in the NFL where the player has no ability to dictate their future. Those positions are running back, safety, punter, place kicker. When you have a running back coming off of an Achilles injury and not performing well, the take from that is that they are burnt. If Cam Akers sits out the rest of the season due to his disaffection with McVay who is be loved by the NFL, he is almost guaranteeing that he will never play again. He will be lucky to be part of the “get a try out“ crowd of running backs that make the rounds every year during training camp.
