The 2027 3rd makes it a bit of an overpay but we are all in.
And it was a great area of need.
A #1 corner in the prime of his career who can play inside and outside.
That 3rd won't mean anything when we're playing in next year's NFC championship game.

All we know is Snead got fleeced! Even though you admit you know nothing about the negotiations or the competitive bids he got fleeced!

An overpay (my opinion, as well as that of many neutral observers) is not the same as being fleeced. But then, you're FULL of straw men today.

Ok, you've convinced me -- Les Snead is perfect in every way. :eyeroll:

Neutral observers LOL with an obvious continued agenda against our SB winning GM you do not get to label yourself neutral. Especially when by your own admission you don't know anything about the trade. And you don't let knowledge get in the way of your agenda.

I'm going to go with IF since I felt we had it this last year. So much football to be played and must stay healthy at the right spots. If we do, we should be there.

So Rams trade a 2025 1st and 2026 1st, a 2025 and 2027 3rd a 2026 5th and 2026 6th. And we got the 13th pick in the 2026 draft, Terrence Ferguson and Trent McDuffie and a 2026 7th.

Yeah what a bad GM always getting fleeced :D

Oh no -- my anti-Snead agenda has been exposed! :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Luckily for you the Rams can't help themselves and draft one every year. ;)
Sometimes it actually works pretty good.
Williams and Corum.
I'm still waiting to see Jarquez Hunter get a start or at least a few carries a game.
I've almost forgotten what breakaway speed looks like in our backs.
You might find me fainted in my living room if we broke one for 25 yards. :)
Soul Surfer (sub the Rams jersey fir the Raiduhs jersey)when the Rams finally break a long rush....

Yeah a couple tweets have been posted since I said that. Sounds like the Giants didn't want to give a 1st round equivalent. They obviously weren't going to trade #5 but a 2nd plus must have been to much for Harbaugh.
Thank goodness it worked in our favor then. No matter what, everyone knows our secondary needed an upgrade.

This is an interesting conversation post trade, since the Rams are still sitting at #13 only four picks behind them.

Chiefs needs and strategy pivoting? Many mocks had them taking Love the RB.
Depends on how the CBs check out medically, but KC has done well drafting and developing CBs so I doubt they draft one at 9 but who knows. I think the draft will be a bit more random than usual.

On Snead: Let's say he is overpaying for talent (don't necessarily agree) but that talent is then coming in an helping us continuously make the playoffs and have runs at the superbowl and win the superbowl. Wouldn't that possibly mean that the market is wrong and teams are not accurately pricing these trades in the first place and that Snead is in fact pricing it correctly due to the output these trades are giving us. Isn't it possible then that teams are making a mistake not offering MORE for players in general and overvaluing future value of draft picks?

In fact, one of the innovations of Sneads front office is finding market inefficiencies on a regular basis whether it is not overpaying at LB and safety, trading for proven veterans at positions such as CB and drafting certain characteristics in later rounds.

Snead can be my broker any day.

Let's say Snead was price sensitive in his trade talks and didn't overpay and McDuffue ends up a Giant. Then you would be bitching that he missed a golden opportunity to add a 25 yr old stud CB.

Was I bitching? I don't remember bitching. In fact, I think I said I was elated we got McDuffie.

Thanks.

Look since I agree with JYB on giving up slightly too much, I'll chime in......there's zero evidence that what you're stating would happen. What if Snead was a bit more price sensitive and still got McDuffie? See what I did there, we can all talk hypotheticals all day. Also why would someone bitch when FA or the draft hasn't come around to allow the Rams to go about improving the team. McDuffie is a Ram and Snead addressed a massive need. This topic, by myself and others, has been beat senseless.... I'm choosing to agree to disagree while simultaneously being happy we got a CB1. So my fellow Rams bro, what other areas do you think the Rams may address cuz according to Jourdan, Snead may not be done. I might just have a raging boner soon if this man pulls some shit off like the past.
