I'll give it 5 weeks before I panic panic.

Was just thinking though.. other than Ernest Jones, there's not one player on this roster outside of AD, MS AND CK that I'd even CONSIDER giving an extension too.

And that's wild when you think about it.
That’s what I’m doing. Im giving it til week 5 or 6. If we are 3-3 or better I think we ride it out.

Two of those guys are getting a little old for an extension.

I just don't see how.. I mean, man, our Defense is SO, so SOFT.. our EDGE position is the biggest joke of a position group in the NFL.

If Durant continues on his ascent, I'd gladly give him a contract extension. He's going to be a superstar, I can feel it.

Oh I know, I was just meant to be excluding them off the list. There's 4 players that even have earned or deserve an extension.

Not another player on the team I'd even talk to about one.

I'll wait for a season or 2. He's one to have an eye on, and I thought about saying him but he's got to prove it through a full season and more.

Nothing has really changed. Early sched looked like it had a good chance of putting us in a hole. Still looks that way. Rams need to find a way to steal a win or two. If they can emerge from the first four at 2-2 we might be in business which is to say at least entertained this season.

If not then yeah we should be sellers. But I already felt like selling was likely, I just reserve that room for our team to surprise us. Hope that doesn't happen (being down 0-4) as I am afraid AD might want to move to a contender, but I am prepared for it.

Slice??

Dude - we took the tape out of the 1-inch tape box, sent it with a nub down to the galley who returned to the sonar shack with a whole pizza in the box. Our watch section then proceeded to enjoy the illegal pizza on watch, 2 slices each, bucko!! We stuck it to the man!!

Our first three games are @Seattle, SF, @Cincy

I mean let's be real here.....odds are we were going 0-3 either way, 1-2 at best. Those are still the two most likely outcomes here.

Expanding out to @Indy and Philly, odds of 1-4 were pretty high. Let's just assume it's 1-4 and then Kupp comes back strong:

Cardinals - winnable
Steelers - winnable
@Cowboys - Loss
@Packers - winnable
Seahawks - winnable
@Cardinals - winnable
Browns - winnable
@Ravens - Loss
Commodes - winnable
Saints - winnable
@Giants - winnable
@Niners - Loss

That's 9 winnable games after a 1-4 start - who knows how good those teams will be, how good we will be or anything in between - but 10 wins is still on the table. And hell, maybe the Niners have the one seed locked up and rest everyone against us in week 18.

Point is, this injury to Kupp changes very, very little. Seahawks, Niners, Bengals and Eagles - 3/4 of the championship game teams from last year in there - was always murderous.

It may be but how do you know? We didn’t play out starters and word from Denver was we gave it to them on both O and D

We may be in a bad spot on D or we may not, but we can’t know based on the preseason

Gotta love it! Four days before the first game and the quitters wanna blow the shit up. It's gonna be such a fun season.
If you’re a lifetime Rams fan you’re ready for 5-12 but praying for a competitive 9-8 season so that there’s optimism in watching all 17 games. You’re also convinced there is a plan that will unveil itself this season that puts the Rams back on top of the NFC West next year.

If this team is 2-6 after the Dallas game, which is only 2 days before the trade deadline, I think there is more than a 50% chance Stafford restructures his deal and they move him.

Now—that is working under the premise that some other potential playoff team is desperate for QB help. Like if Tua doesn’t stay healthy, or Russ doesn’t work out in Denver, or Jordan Love ends up sucking. If all the playoff teams appear set at QB, than they might hold onto him. But if Miami or someone like that wants to send a handful of day 2 picks for him, I bet Snead does it.

With the brutal first half schedule, and Kupp possibly missing 4 games, and having the youngest team in the league…it’s not hard to see this team starting 1-5 or 2-6, and ultimately deciding to completely blow it up and start fresh. Stafford getting dealt before the 10/31 deadline feels like a very real possibility. Ben Solak mentioned this on his pod today and now that the Kupp news is official it doesn’t seem far fetched at all.

Only way this doesn’t happen is if some of the rookies pop and we start the season 4-2, 3-3, or something. But if we are 1-5, I cannot see them sending Stafford and Kupp out there every week on their way to a 5-12 finish. Especially if Stafford looks as good as all the training camp reports have suggested. If he is healthy, teams will want him and the Rams would be stupid not to get something for him.

LMFAO - trade Stafford he hasn’t even won a game in 2923 on September 6,2023. That’s going to happen- LOL

I got to make a call to Vegas....
Hello, Vegas.... no need for the Rams to play this weekend... they gonna lose.

I wonder how many other games don't need to be played, this weekend? Hard to say, huh...
Yeah - cuz - that is why they play the damn game! :wow2:
