I am not advocating this nor could I bare to even see it or consider it however If there is only one way to relieve some cap space and regain those picks plus......I think you all know it. Out of all the huge contracts we have handed out only one is productive and possibly the best player in the nfl or at least in the running and thats Aron Donald. So the question is do we ride out the storm and let other key players go really not be able to add key players and in doing so if you can't add some mean Nasty O-line players GOFF will be done not even the next Jim Everett he may become the next David Carr. So you wasting Donald prime years and possibly ruining another huge investment? So Donald is the only one that can help the team the most by receiving a kings ransom for him. Does anyone of you have the guts or does anyone have any other ideas cause this is no easy fix no money no draft picks and no new free agents nor the ability to resign all key free agents coming up this team could backslide to being the nfl laughing stock unless someone gets creative here. Suggestions please.

Start with shedding Weddle and Matthews in the off-season, but give Gervase and Obo playing time. Release Reeder meow and call up Allen.

Weddle and Mathews gives you what though like 10 million? The reason I brought Donald up was because he is the guy that performs and has a huge contract but can land you cap space and a kings ransom possibly picks and players.

Trading Donald is a nonstarter, they need to get better in the trenches, specifically on offense. McVay needs to evolve his playbook, and I trust he will. We’ll be back next season, it sucks that this one is a loss, but shit, we’re still likely to finish with a winning record, I trust this team to do at least that. Football is a competitive sport, look at the Eagles, how badly have they fallen after lighting the world on fire a few years ago? I trust this team still, a down year riddled with injury isn’t going to change that. Not after all the bullshit I went through just to see these guys finish with a winning record.

Playbook, Practice, Know your weaknesses, learn to protect them, know opponents weaknesses and learn to attsck them.

Lamar probably wasn't good as reading defense, so you fool him, like the Pats did to Goff. 6-1-4 would have possibly worked against the Ravens. He was 9-9 on throws but there were coverage lapses, maybe more zone than man.

Goff in practice, learn the thriw under pressure, get his accuracy back. Lots of oressure drills. OL hit those sleds. Simplify the scheme, rethink the scheme.

I'd go back to a 4-3...

1. I would concentrate everything on finding an OL.

2. I would let Wade go.

You build the O-line in the offseason.

Goff ran the #1 offense two years in a row. But the Oline was healthy and a top 10 group.

We rode Goff and a Healthy Oline to the Super Bowl.

It really is that simple.

It's not our year folks. Too many injuries.

And by the way, Havenstein is one of the best run blocking RT's in the NFL and we will need him back.

We were all optimistic, even with concerns about the OL, coming into the season.
Can fingers be solely be pointed at the OL now?

Things have unravelled and I was certain we would defend the division and make the playoffs at least.

I just want to see us win as many games as we can for the remainder of the season.

Nothing to lose.
However, considering trading for Donald should be ruled out.
I dont think we get back Fowler, Weddle, or Matthews.
Who knows about Ramsey...

Trading Donald for multiple high round picks and cap relief would not be such a bad idea. If we keep him we would end up like the Texans before Watson. Mediocre because alot of the money would be tied up on a great defensive lineman. Trade Donald and Ramsey for 3 firsts. Use them to draft Oline. Get a couple nice FA D-Lineman. Minor rebuild accomplished without waiting until 2024 when Donald would be washed up anyways. The Pats traded Chandler Jones

Let Gurley walk. If he is too damaged to run more than 10 touches a game, what good is he? It’s as if Swan wants him out there as a decoy. We pay him too much to be a decoy, so let him go. If Sean on the other hand just won’t re-establish the play action because Goff will get bigger chunks passing...then we have literally uncovered mental illness. And if any of you want to say that we don’t have an ol to open holes, even tonight’s YPC was decent, so that ain’t it. Give the Rams a new monster back, and Goff will get back to a productive QB

I don't see a mess. I see a reasonably competitive 6-5 squad who got blown out by a juggernaut - the same juggernaut who are now on a 7 game streak of blowing out pretty good teams.

I'll take 6-5 over what we were served up every year from 2004 - 2017. We really do have short memories.

There is simply no way in the world this team trades Aaron Donald. Even if the Rams stink the next few years, they will stink with one superstar and future hall of famer. They have a new stadium to fill and there are years this team was bad with no one worth seeing. Besides, you can't make up for a special player like Donald easily. Teams must gameplan for him. Others have to step up.

Brockers is not getting it done, even with Donald taking on double teams. But take away Donald and it will not just be Jackson tearing apart the defense.

The Rams put themselves in this position. Only time will fix it. The Ramsey trade was very foolish for the price. Now they will live with it.
They have to find lower level draft guys who can perform, do a better job coaching and find bargain free agents. That is their immediate future. Whether we like it or not.

I think it's a bad year and that happens. Injuries happened up front and they obviously need to fix the o line and figure out how to make consistent plays on offense.

Defense was soft today but they have been pretty good up until now.

Mcvay, swallow your pride and make changes! We love you but your offense has been figured out, i can't remember the last time this team connected on a deep td.

No idea how to fix it . The eye test tells me it won't be a quick fix and trading for Ramsey looks like a huge mistake now . He's no Dieon , and there's no money to pay him what he thinks he's worth .
Everyone blames everything on the Oline and I get it , good defenses have always given them trouble even when the same 5 starters played every game . 3 points in the super bowl was the start of the wheels coming off . 7 against the 49ers , 3 at Pittsburgh, and 6 against Baltimore who had the game won in the 1st quarter . Couldn't even muster a point in the 2nd half against a prevent D. The defense held a few lousy offenses in check but in the same breath gave up a combined 100 against Winston and Lamar . They can't be trusted either . Big money free agents very seldom get you over the hump.
I'm hoping for a quick fix but I don't see it . What the F happened ?

Brick by Brick, you rebuild it brick by brick. Now it will take some shrewd draft choices and moving around for extra picks would be prudent, but you need to get more defensive players on the defensive line and a thumper in the middle. Add in drafting a QB that can offer an RPO, that you can bring in from time to time, he doesn't have to be able to throw and go from there....That is all I have right now.

I wish we could trade Ramsey and get those two draft picks back, but I believe it's past the trade deadline. At this point, all they can do is try and fix the O-line and get a damn running back. It's no coincidence that this team tanked after Gurley went down, and he hasn't been the same since.

I’d certainly advocate bringing Jay Gruden in as OC, if not him then Bill Callahan after Washington purges their staff.
And I think returning to a 4-3 is a must to get Donald the help he needs. Too easy to double him
I believe they have the personnel they just need to scheme better

lol you literally just killed your own argument he had 6 rushes almost 4 yards a rush it’s not his fault his number isn’t being called. I don’t see why that’s so hard but it has to be anybody but Goff.
