Emmanwori may be the best pick to improve the second level tackling and TE coverage issues that was the Rams defense Achilles heel last year. Problem is he might take more than the R1.26 pick.
Pretty sure his sparc was the #1 since it was created way back when, for the safety position. And it's not like he had bad film. He was the S2 on a lot of boards prior. This is why I think Starks may slide to us (or far enough to jump up and get if Shula's got wood for him). Longshot of course but still.

I think the argument for TE is the talent in this class, our need for pass catcher ahead of FA - so you can discount this slightly, and future prep as this is Higbee's final year and Parkinson's contract is basically only a two year deal as they can cut him next year for savings.
Good mention of Higbee as a free agent next year. I'm looking at this class for a replacement for him and not finding any who are good blockers and receivers. Which guys can do both?

Draft analysis strengths indicate the opposite:
“Loves to tackle”
“Carries a linebacker physique”
“Tenacious effort. Demands more from teammates”
“Sheds blocks with arm length and determination”
“Can erase tight ends”….etc

Weaknesses:
“Susceptible to explosive smaller receivers”
“Prefers to play the ball in front of him”

Pro Comp:
Kyle Hamilton/Ravens.
ah, I thought I read the opposite!

Nobody's coming out as a finished blocker but Warren can do it, Mason can definitely do it, Helm can do it ish.

In fact, there's some great cut up's of Mason blocking by Sharpe on twitter.

Warren would be great doubt we can get him, Mason is a guy I envision we might be able to get with a trade down or up who could develop into a do everything TE with inline ability.

While other guys might be weapons in the Everett vein, Mason and Helm I think have a chance to develop into true swiss army knives and inline capable.

No. I'm not assuming that Snead a crew like a lot of players at all. That's why I kept stating IF, and only IF, the team ......

I just provided a, I guess, a blueprint of how I would look at things in order ending at simply going BPA.

The chances they love even three players in round one? No idea. But, there are a few players that appear to emphasize leadership, a real love for the game and "dawg' mentality throughout the draft class based upon the limited information of which we have access.

BTW, I can't help but to think that McSnead may have learned something and are now thankful that attempted trade up attempts for Bowers didn't go through given the success of the draft class. And I like the team's chances of coming close to or even exceeding the impact of a TE later in this draft class against one drafted in the 1st round FAR more than just about any other position besides maybe RB.

What you or I would do has no bearing on what the Rams would do. So, I’m just trying to go off their past tendencies to predict what they might do.

I agree that it’s a problem. Maybe over Curl. But ultimately he’d take Lake’s position in the Star.
Ok. Lake is a team captain and played 99.9% of the snaps last year so doubt he sits much. Basically this guy would have limited use this next year.

Broncos signed Evan Engram, probably taking them out of Colston Loveland conversation. If he gets past the Chargers he might just be available at 26. Does McVay get his weapon then or do we go CB1 if available.

Situationally SS/NB/ILB(shit he’s 6.3/227). A Swiss Army knife player that appears to be a physical game changer like a Ramsey or Budda Baker.
He's a freaking animal athletically, but, I'm not sure there is a position that he would drastically update ATM.

Your hoping we draft Starks at #26? I would not be a fan of that. He had a down year and tested poorly.

Does it? How long is the contract? Who else do they have at TE on their roster?

I still expect Payton to go TE hunting in this draft. The best version of his offenses had a guy that tilted the field with size inside and out.

2 years, $23M, 16.5 guaranteed. Don't see them drafting a TE in the 1st.

I see nothing here to make me think they won't take a TE they like in the 1st if that's who they want.

Also, those numbers really don't tell us anything, we need to know when the triggers are.

They may not take a TE but doubt this precludes them from doing it and would not be shocked if this is ultimately a 1 year deal.

I mean look at last seasons draft.Could you have imagined Bowers to The Rams without Verse & FISKE ? The offense would have been seriously explosive.

SO what’s it going to look like now “2025? One could guess.I’ll say I wouldn’t count on Higbee.Allen Davis went into that slump (soon.)
Parkisian seemed to be a Bust

-That said look at Mcvays first season with Sned & as a HC.Kittle would have been there after Kupp.
The Rams traded back for Everett & drafted JJ43 with the pick.

I can see a trade back, but sure if they like The 4 or 5 years for there
contract lengths ??
