That's strange, TE is a well known target for the Rams. And his name was linked with the Rams in several places.True... yet people jumped down my throat for suggesting Taylor was a target for us.

The Fannin disrespect never ends!If Taylor is the pick at 46 gotta say I'll be very happy. Same with Ferguson, who to me is neck and neck with him. Either of those two should be able to replace Higs. And in the interim for this season can be cycled in and make a play here and there for us in the pass game.
I'm fine with Fannin and have liked him all through this process. Think they could probably move down and still get him however. Those other two TEs have the prototype size and are better athletes. The Fannin disrespect never ends!
Im actually hoping now for him or one of the Iowa St guys or Royals.
Disagree a whole lot on the athlete part and he's plenty big enough. He doesn't have to be used as an online TE he's big enough and a good enough blocker in 2 TE sets.I'm fine with Fannin and have liked him all through this process. It was clear and I'm with you. I like Taylor but never wanted him at 26. I thought it might happen but was hoping it didn't.Bingo. This entire back and forth was in regards to considering Taylor with the Rams R26 pick. I stated IMO I wouldn’t be interested until around pick 45. I also pointed out he was not a TD machine in college. So wouldn’t it be interesting to see the Rams get Taylor at R2.46 AND garner a R1 pick in 2026. Much much more value for that pick. That was my point. Sorry if it wasn’t clear.

I think the issue with people not wanting Fannin is they're misusing him in their minds. He's not a direct replacement for Higbee as a big blocking TE. Fannin isn't that hell Loveland isn't that. Fannin is the big slot the 2nd TE that's a move guy. He's a TE weapon not an inline TE he's a big slot.I think the most dangerous slot weapon right now on the board is Bech. But he doesn't help them in terms of replacing Higs, if they are planning on that selection providing that secondary benefit. Fannin is similar in that regard. So for myself he's behind Bech, Restrepo, and should be in that third round range.
Not that I stack a board. Just my take on it.
The advantage to the bigger TEs is they can help in the pass game then replace Higs next offseason.
He seriously gives me Aaron Hernandez vibes (on the field comparison, definitely not off the field, where he’s regarded as an exemplary person) when I watch him, and I think you use him the exact same way.I think the issue with people not wanting Fannin is they're misusing him in their minds. He's not a direct replacement for Higbee as a big blocking TE. Fannin isn't that hell Loveland isn't that. Fannin is the big slot the 2nd TE that's a move guy. You want somebody to replace Higbee you take Fidone, Evans or Hawes in the 6th.
Fannin size/weight is right in between Puka and Higs and that's how you use him. Obvious passing downs he's your only TE but the majority of the rest of the time he's your slot WR or your 2nd TE. He's a good enough blocker as a rookie to be the 2nd TE on running downs and a dangerous enough weapons to pass to on those downs.
He'll be a useful player! The Fannin disrespect never ends!

You don't need to sell me on Fannin. Where you and I differ is where we see him in this draft. Hell Kupp went round 3 even though he ran a 4.61 and was nearly Fannin's size. It is what it is, which is some hair splitting going on from round 2 to 3 with some of these guys.I think the issue with people not wanting Fannin is they're misusing him in their minds. "Sup."Yeah, nor in law either, but that's just me.
