Well I'll say I'm very impressed with Allen. He had a couple men plays but hes a young guy its gonna happen and hes gonna learn. Demby..... eh I dunno. We might be making a trade depending on Blythes injury. Hope I'm wrong and he ends up being solid

I'm thinking this is more and more the case. Why not run more 2-TE sets? Why not implement just a little more quick passing like the patriots? He's boy genius why cant we be just a little more versatile?
It's not just the long developing routes, but they are play action passes. So Goff is under center and has to turn his back to the defense, or at least take his eyes away momentarily. Whatever he see's pre-snap he completely loses for a second or two, while he's selling the run fake. Then as he turns out of the fake, he has to read the defense within a split second and make an accurate throw. Sometimes the WRs aren't out of their breaks and he's holding the ball. This might be why Goff misses some reads, because out of play-action he's literally whipping around trying to dodge the rush in his face and decipher coverage at the same time.
Yup. Everett is a beast. So I hope this game showed McVay he can rely on him. It would make this offense even more explosive if we can develop a short passing game.
I actually thought Demby played better than I expected he would.

The Pats have #71 at nose tckle that would toss fat Demby across the yard. We need to get kromer to fixing this mess as soon as we can because I want to be WORLD CHAMPIONS and not just be happy beating down the Taints. We face other teams this year with big middle of the defensive line power rushers like Cox and the Bears have 3 big boys in their front 4 and they just beat Denver today in a miracle win in Denver against their D coordinator from last year who is now hc of Broncos in Vic Fangio. We must start now and fix our left guard as I love noteboom and Allen right now without having fat Demby playing next to them. He has NO punch and barely finished a game we had already established the run in. Demby is not a World Champion. We have a draft pick that we can play at that spot from Wisconsin like Havenstein who took a while to become a player we were comfortable with till Cam Jordan got 3 holding calls on big Hav today. We as the RAMS will face more speedy big DE's with a good pass rush game. we just extended havenstein and we expect better from him. We want to be WORLD CHAMPIONS and nothing less. Lets bring in our Pre-season tested OL that has a future with us. Playing OLG would benefit us till blythe returns. Anxiously awaiting MRI on his ankle tonight or tomorrow.

IMO the answer short term is also an answer for the long term at RG. Just move Havenstein inside to RG where he belongs. Start Edwards at RT where IMO he will be the starter in 2023 anyway. Rob is signed through 2022 and Blythe's contract expires at the end of this season anyway. Blythe can take Demby's place this year as the game day backup.
You upgrade the entire o-line permanently. They just need to get serious in coaching up Evans to play swing OT this year.

Coach it's KromerTime and time to put our big Badger next to his fellow Badger Edwards is the replacement we need for now till we get our Oklahoma OT ready to play OG next season.
Not freaking out when I know moving forward with Demby is not using our best player to fill and learn and be better for us in the long run. Just wait and see how Kromer moves to protect Jared from in your face rushes as Goff can't work with that as we all know. We have a player that should be used and gain that experience.

Edwards needs the time and could be Havensteins replacement in the future anyway. He is expected to be our swing tackle and he can much easier play offensive right guard and move Demby back to the fill ol spot as he played every position in PS. Edwards future could be Right Tacckle for our future anywayas Noteboom will fill in for Big Whit when we get our RINGS this year.
Edwards over Demby till Blythe returns and for our future replacement for Havenstein anyway. We must protect Jared and not risk our franchise QB and Demby can be our first off the bench again as Snead maybe can find us that guy that may be more of a stud and ready to compete as our two OL we have in red shirt mode like Noteboom and Allen were in last season. I want this WORLD Championship with this crew we have now. Loved the D effort today against a potent Offense.The MRI on Blythe's ankle will tell us what we need to know before we move the chairs. We must do all we can to protect Goff ALL season long.
MRI results first then see if we move Edwards to Blythe's spot as he eventually will be Havensteins replacement at ORT 2023

He still had a shit OLine, and had to make many clutch plays. It’s what made Snead and Fisher like him so much. Snead spoke about it. He said he was crazy good or something when talking to Fisher a year before they drafted him.
Receivers running free in college, don’t negate the fact that Goff was constantly under pressure and had to deliver accurate passes.
I’ve seen far worse lines today.
I’m encouraged by our recent history of keeping the same guys out there. I believe last year we started the same five every game?
So my thoughts are that even if we can’t do that this year, the starters will rub off on the backups and all the guys in the linemen’s room will work together to get the best out of each other.
The key is to keep these guys tight, close, and keep them together and make in game recognitions and adjustments when someone is overwhelmed.
Speaking of tight...I’d hope we keep TE’s in tight to help out if needed. It may shrink the playbook alittle, but our TE’s, they really are good blockers imo

Your suggestion is not insane. Long term Edwards might end up at RT for us. But not yet. For this season the answer is Edwards at RG. If they go forward with Demby I'll deal, but I think it's an unnecessary waste of opportunity to plug the better player in there now.
I need to watch the game one more time, but initial impressions was that Allen played much better this game then week 1 in which he was getting destroyed more than a few times.
Noteboom will probably be really good at LT but he is lacking the power and nastyness at LG.
Blythe was playing poorly over the last few games so we actually get an upgade here if Demby or Edwards can grow up real quick.
Havenstein might make a better guard then all of them but I dont want us to start shuffling the line up in season. But I can see Edwards at RT eventually with Havenstein moving inside. Cam Jordan is a perennial pro bowler so hard for any RT to handle, so not worried about Hav's struggles yesterday.

Ya, Noteboom is 'protected' in the McVay's great system; great athlete for a guard, but not a mauler; somehow it seems to not have worked against him. A bit surprised the Saints didn't make him struggle in the run game
Our OL did give up pressure, but I put all of those sacks more on Goff TBH.
Obviously the third one we shouldn't be counting at all - Goff went down to keep the clock running, otherwise he throws the ball away.
The first two though - Goff needs to step up. Havenstein should not be expected to block Cam Jordan one on one with consistent success, so Goff needed to be aware of that and slide away or step up. On both I think he could have stepped up in the pocket.
You are correct, but DBs are better, schems can be confusing and up until the second half of last season, goff handle pressure pretty good. Then the bears found something, not just pressure, that has goff thinking and the rest of the NFL has taken notice. Plus playing a lot of good Ds since then. He and his coach now have to figure that out. They will.
