Not sure if its been mentioned,, but is was Demby's man who blew right by him and got to Goff causing the fumble. Had the Refs not called the play dead he would have been responsible for the Saints getting six and according to all Saint fans (and Peyton) costing them the game.

And McVay and Vinny B talk about how good Demby did?

Since McVay came in as HC of the Rams I have had very little to complain about.

But I'm flummuxed as to why they insist on making Demby first guy off the bench. I totally dis agree.

Demby can't be Kromers answer to this problem. Why can't we get the MRI results??? The long distance RAMS plans for our two rookies is probably gonna be shitcanned. If blythe needs surgery we may have to go to defcon 1. Hope newly extended Snead has a couple of plans as I'm sure Kromer has been in his office since breakfast trying to figure this out. We had a great plan to grow our O-line for the future if we could haave avoided this. I still like Edwards playing next to his fellow Wisconsin Badger Havenstein and could even be his future replacement when Havensteins contract runs out. Edwards can get to the second level and has quicker feet than anyone else we have for replacement. This screws the great plan we had as a RAM for a smoother transition with our two rookies. I think the redshirt planning is over. Kromer is gonna need a raise and make sure no team can steal him from us.

McVay is crazy if he thinks Demby smells the starter spot. Lets get an MRI result please and see how long Blythe is out and we can't have Demby even start against the Browns young but very talented D-Line. This is getting crazier by the minute.

Thing is OL help is in short supply through out the league. Most teams are is worse shape than the Rams. I think it unlikely they find help signing a vet. There just aren't any. Help is going to have to come from within.
Only reason I can come to why Demby is first off the bench is because he's been there longer than the others and understands the playbook better,

As far as the others go, Edward made the biggest improvement over the course of TC and pre season. Evans seems like he's slow to learn and improve, but getting there.

I'd love to have a conversation with Kromer and have him explain his intensions and his outlook for these players and reason why Demby is first off the bench when it looks like Edwards is a far better player to the rest of us.

I'm guessing Demby will be at RG for Cleveland, but if he lets his guy hit Goff like he did yesterday, it won't be for long.

People here like to demonize Demby but it was Havenstein who was the biggest problem the entire game. Another part was Goff needs better pocket awareness. He doesn't have that natural feel for pressure. He should have seen it coming since it was both Demby and Havenstein and Robs man got pressure first. He should have just gone down and protected the ball. Or thrown it away as he had time. If Demby's guy didn't get him Havenstein's guy would have because he was immediately behind him.

But go back and really look at that play. In reality the problem was a mistake by Allen. Allen, Noteboom and Demby had to block 2 guys. The center normally doubles with the RG as it's presumed that the LG is the better of the two OGs. Instead Allen picks up the Noteboom's man leaving Joe just standing there and Demby over matched. That sack is on Allen for playing it wrong. This is what I meant in another post that decision by the C can make someone else look bad if the center is wrong. I'm sure the coaches saw it also and it's probably why they aren't blaming Demby on that play. Take that play away and Demby didn't play that badly. He struggled like you would expect but he wasn't a disaster and everyone was struggling.

Everyone was missing blocks, Noteboom had his worse day as did Allen, so it wasn't just Demby. Give credit where it's due. The Aints front 7 is pretty damn good. It's the best part of their defense. If you block them up you can beat them as the Rams proved twice.

They beat Blythe at least 2-3 times in the playoffs. So it's natural that a DC would target not only Blythe but especially his replacement. It was evident that they were targeting all the new guys and Havenstein who couldn't block Cameron all day and couldn't block him last year either.

Paying all these backs and receivers big dough took away talent from the o-line. Never understood paying all that money to Woods and Cooks let alone Gurley. Should have payed Woods and not bothered with Cooks.

Although o-line is the one position where players can be coached up. Hope that is true with our Rams.

If you look at the Pats, they don't spend their money on OL. Other than Stephon Gilmore, they haven't had any top shelf contracts of any kind in a long while.
