I care because when someone calls this a remodel I expect us to be very competitive. Losing 3 of the 4 top defensive players is NOT a remodel. Asking Robinson to seek a trade partner. We haven't even addressed Gaines, Gay or AShawn. That's just.....I'm sorry... But no.
Honestly, I'm not sure why you care what Snead calls it. Remodel, rebuild, reload.... Who gives a flip. The Rams are a year removed from hoisting the Lombardi. Snead deserves a lot of the credit for that.
Do I agree with everything he does? Oh hell no...in fact you named a lot of questionable moves by him and the FO. I just think we owe him the benefit of the doubt here. Let's see how it all plays out in 2023/2024.
I called Snead directly a liar and for good reason if he said to the fan base due to all our top heavy deals we need to shed assets no one would be happy but at least he was being straight with us. My interpretation of these moves is that we will not be winning many games next year I hope I am wrong but with Ashawn, Gaines, Wagner and Floyd possibly gone there goes out run D which was top 5 last year. With Ramsey gone we literally have only Durant and that's it and the jury is still out on DeCobie. Kendricks was horrible. Rest worse than Kendricks. This defense will be a biweekly bitch session on how bad they are. Most hated the defense last year you just wait with no OLBs with Floyd gone this feels like a trainwreck not a remodel.
Lastly I am the biggest supporter of Snead I've called him one of the 2 best GMs even saying I forgive him for that awful Goff resigning when there was no need to after 3 years. But after the Ramsey trade when everyone said just restructure Kupp and with Wagner money we will be under the cap but no he just had to make that trade. To keep Ramsey one more year he could have helped mentor the younger guys kept some semblance of continuity on the backend both Hill and Long are FAs so why so desperate to make this deal the answer was he truly was rebuilding the team and lied to everyone in the process.
