Didn't we trade down with them for more picks? They selected Claiborne, we got Brockers.

The Giants fleeced us with Spags, but he made his way back so it's a draw.

To lazy to look it up, but we got Brockers AND another pick - think it was a 4th.

We got pick 45 to boot that we traded down again with chicago who took Alshon Jeffery and we took Rok Watkins and Pead.

Traded down once too many. Still it looks like great maneuvering if you just look at the pick values and not the players with the benefit of hindsight. At the time we had a lot of holes so moving down and getting more picks made sense. Plus, you spread your bets. Bottom line is Brockers + a ham sandwich is better than Claiborne!

Better than RGIII as well. Ha!

Man, freak Eagles fans. As soon as I heard him say "as bad as the 3-13 team in 1998" I shut that crap the freak off. freak you dude. Try enduring 3-13, 2-14 and 1-15 in 3 consecutive seasons. I swear some fans have no appreciation for their team at all. Just be happy you actually have one.

Your last sentence sums up my feelings perfectly. They could be watching their childhood team play in the desert to overconfident, Johnny come lately fans. Spoiled rotten fans.

A couple of thoughts....
  • How can players follow Sam when he appears to be showing his frustration and is communicating that he doesn't know how to fix the issues. Good Leaders rarely do those things.
  • Sam is in the last year of his deal, so if he may decide at some point in the year to move on and be less invested in finding a solution. Not saying he will, but he could.
  • Don't you want your QBs to raise the level of other players and win some games for you? Has Sam shown he can do that for the Eggles?

I'm no Bradford fan but he was 15/28 270 yards and three TD's no picks...sounds like there are more things wrong in Philly than the QB.
For some it'll always be the QB, some people look at all those players on the field and just see the man behind the center.

That team was pretty much doomed to fail from the get go. You got a 'star running back' who's never ran behind anything but an immaculate line, you've sent several proven starters on the line packing for cast aways with little time to gel with the rest, and a bunch of vets who were either heavily injured or otherwise set back, replacing perennial pro bowlers like Maclin and Jackson with a rookie, perpetual 3rd stringer Cooper and one foot in the grave Miles Austin. Not too many people can turn around pretty much rebuilding your offense outside of 2 linemen.

Putting in a QB that hadn't played in 1.5 years was just icing on the cake.

Missing on Wagner and Jeffery, what a terrible thing to be reminded of... Where is my dislike button!? :p

Bradford has been good in 2 halves of games this year. The 2nd half of both the opener and yesterday. Otherwise he has been awful.

Not saying one thing or the other.... just found it interesting...

But you could say (nearly) the exact same thing about Foles...(he looked good both halves against Seattle)

Foles still plays for Philly? 'cause thats with this thread was about...
That said, I thought Foles was pretty dammed good against Zona. I'd give him 4 good halves. Not that Im comparing

True. I'm sorry for thinking it was an interesting comparison.
The conversation might be about Philly... but if your going to point that out I will just respond with the fact that this is a Rams forum, so it would seem that any convo on this forum would be open for comparison.

Foles has looked good week one, bad the next two and good again week 4.
Some would say the same about Sam.

I like Foles. Sometimes it's ugly, sometimes It's awesome. Kinda like Bradford too.
I'm happy.

Sam hasn't played a complete game yet. He played well in the 2nd half of 2 games. Foles has played well in 2 games entirely.
There isn't a comparison.

Yep one against the no. 1 defense in the nfl the previous season, and the undefeated Cards with a great defense as well. Loving me some Foles!

The Cowboys. Look at my avatar. I don't know about the blue font. Thank you, mods? Lol

Hey Weeden has played better than I thought, but that loss to the Saints had to be heartbreaking...I will be rooting hard for your boys this week as they play the Antichrist.

I will be pulling for the Eagles this week to win because I want Sam to remain the starter for now and a win this week probably keeps him the starter for another week. Overall, I'd like to see the Eagles lose their last four games to go about 6-10. That way, Bradford probably remains the starter at least half the season and we don't have to give them a 4th rounder and our 2nd rounder from them becomes a pretty decent pick.

I know one thing. The better our Rams and Foles do, the madder the Eagles fan base will become. GO RAMS!

We still could have been fine there. I actually liked Lavante David the most of the LB's in that draft and was praying they'd take him. He was still available. That probably means we wouldn't have taken Ogletree, though. Best bet probably would have been to stay put and take Wagner. Just imagine Wagner, Ogletree and JL playing together.
