My question with the Ai-YUK contract is this, Why do the Whiners get a do-over on this contract rather than having to eat it in cap space?. Is there some sort of bad behavior clause where they get grace for being stupid enough for giving this knucklehead a bag?
Not getting this at all. They should have to eat it. Eat it all!!
They've paid all his guaranteed salary at this point so cutting him basically just costs them the leftover previously paid bonuses prorated out over term of contract but they save on the non-guaranteed portions they no longer have to pay. Essentially his base salary and some future bonuses that aren't guaranteed. Actually, in the Shanahan era, last season was probably the one season they over achieved. A weak schedule helped. But they won a playoff game too. But they gotta face it. The championship window is closed. They might be a borderline playoff team. But they won't have a last place schedule. I see them winning 8 or 9 games. Maybe 10 if things fall their way. The core is aging and injury prone. They are not on the level of LA or Seattle. If they don't stay healthy enough they could have a losing season.

I never count out the Whiners until they are mathematically eliminated. Not because I respect them but because I loath them.
This was a pretty good recounting of the past ten years under rat boy. We have to count our blessings they never stumbled into a title any of those years. Too many close calls if you ask me.
Nothing short of a sweep over the boom-box, bang-bang Niner gang franchise will be acceptable with me this year. I don’t want them sniffing the playoffs in December.
My favorite part of the video was the narrator talking about “the end of a dynasty”. Bro. Nice dynasty. Zero rings.
