My question with the Ai-YUK contract is this, Why do the Whiners get a do-over on this contract rather than having to eat it in cap space?. Is there some sort of bad behavior clause where they get grace for being stupid enough for giving this knucklehead a bag?
Not getting this at all. They should have to eat it. Eat it all!!
They've paid all his guaranteed salary at this point so cutting him basically just costs them the leftover previously paid bonuses prorated out over term of contract but they save on the non-guaranteed portions they no longer have to pay. Essentially his base salary and some future bonuses that aren't guaranteed.
