Nooooooo, the whiners are interested in trey Burton (why wouldn't they be). I don't want him with them, I want him on the rams team. This guy's gonna be a good one. The rams need to match him up with Everett and the rams will be unstoppable by next season.

.

I do like Burton as an addition who would improve our TE room and provide instant upgrade to Higs in the pattern. But that said I don't like his fit as much as I like Graham's. Either way I'd welcome the addition.

The Lions are listening to teams interested in trading for tight end Eric Ebron, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Schefter said Ebron is a “name to watch in the coming days.”

Ebron’s $8.25 million salary becomes guaranteed March 14. General Manager BobQuinn said at the combine last week that the Lions would keep Ebron under contract.

Perhaps, though, the Lions are open to trading him for the right offer.

The Lions listened at the trade deadline, too, but ended up holding onto Ebron when they didn’t get a deal to their liking.

Ebron, the 10th overall pick in 2014, made 53 catches for 574 yards and four touchdowns for the year and for his career has 186 receptions for 2,079 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Well fortunately Les already gave up next year's round 2 pick.

But I suppose there's always the 2019 round 2 pick right? :p

Seahawks willing to trade Earl Thomas

The Seahawks are either going to keep safety Earl Thomas . . . or they’re going to trade him.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported two days ago the Seahawks planned to keep Thomas. Now comes word from Mike Silver of NFL Media that the Seahawks are willing to listen to trade offers for Thomas.

Both could end up being right.

The Seahawks probably would trade Thomas if a team offered “a lot in return,” which is what Silver said it would take. But considering Seattle might not get “a lot in return,” Thomas likely ends up on the roster next season.

It doesn’t appear the Seahawks intend to cut Thomas.

Thomas, who has one year left on a four-year, $40 million extension he signed after the 2013 season that made him the league’s highest-paid safety, has threatened to hold out in the absence of a new deal. Seahawks General Manager John Schneider said at the NFL Scouting Combine that he met with Thomas’ representatives in Indianapolis.

Andrew Norwell - G - Panthers
NFL draft insider Tony Pauline says "belief" around the league is free agent OG Andrew Norwell signing with the Giants is "a done deal."

The top guard on the market, Norwell was one of ex-Panthers GM Dave Gettleman's most-prized discoveries as an undrafted free agent. Gettleman now runs the Giants, who have needs all over the line. At $11.7 million per year, the Raiders made Kelechi Osemele the NFL's highest-paid guard in 2016. Osemele was topped by Browns RG Kevin Zeitler's $12.0 million annually last offseason.

Aqib Talib - DB - Broncos
According to 9 News Denver's Mike Klis, the Patriots and Broncos "have engaged" in trade talks involving Aqib Talib.

Klis notes the Pats are just "one of several teams" to have talks regarding Talib, but New England is also known to be Talib's preferred destination. The 49ers also discussed a Talib deal, but it's believed those discussions fell through. Klis expects Talib's trade market to be strong enough that the Broncos won't have to cut him, and could still come away with some compensation.

Just as I have always suspected. The tampering rules are too easy to work around.. The only way this is a done deal is if they have been negotiating a contract. Why even have restrictions on when teams can negotiate. He isn't even a free agent until the start of the league year.
