Dwayne Bowe is now a free agent. Released by the Browns. I wonder if he has anything left to offer.

I'm curious also, he was supposed to be the next big thing.

Big decisions this week?

This is the way I imagine this all went down. San Francisco didn't want Kaepernick. The previous coaching regime replaced him. They were happy to trade him. Then Chip shows up and says "Hey now wait a minute. I am the QB guru and I can fix that young mans problems, don't just give him away." Suddenly York is thinking that Chip is right and figures he really has something in Kaepernick and he is worth a first or second round pick.

If I was any team interested in him (my team wouldn't be if I was GM), then I would be thumbing my nose at York and moving on. Let Chip Kelly prove to the world that he can work miracles. He said if the 49ers retain Colin that he will be taking him to QB school, as if nobody has been qualified to do so up until now. I hope they hang their hopes on Kaepernick and pass on a first round QB.........or the Rams move ahead of them and take one of the top two and they pass on Lynch.

Couldn't agree more. He was an enigma in KC. Showed flashes of brilliance at times, but would break your heart by dropping the simplest past at the biggest moment. Saw him at Arrowhead way too many times drop the clutch pass, that could have moved the chains or scored. The Chiefs were in need of receivers last year and chose to let him walk. Went to CLE and totally flamed. Wouldn't touch him at all, even for league minimum.

Stats may show some decent numbers, on field play showed otherwise. You'd have to look pretty hard to find anyone in KC that was sad to see him go. I saw his entire career in KC, and there were enough WTF moments to say good riddance. Think Jared Cook at Wide Receiver and you'd have a pretty good comparison.

He is not clutch. He seems to lack concentration. Even though he caught passes he always seemed to have something missing. Kind of like Cook in his first year as a Ram. Sure he caught passes but always had key drops.. The last two years Bowe just wasn't good. He was always a tease. Has the tools and looked the part of a top receiver but just never got over the hump. I don't want the Rams to get him.

We agree! I just wonder if he's as done as his stats over the last few years have shown. Looks like he's done..

After sitting down for dinner last night with defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr and defensive backs coach Marcus Robertson, the free agent safety was at the facility today for a physical and to see if a deal could be hammered out.

It's still possible he could return and work out a deal, but not until tomorrow at least. It's also possible a deal is not imminent. If you were hoping a for a deal, this is certainly not good news.

Not sure about trash, there isn't any prospects that really strike you as wow he could be a great WR. But there are at least a dozen that would be good #2 or 3 WR's. Not a great class because of the lack of dominant play makers though.
