I don't know if it's me but the NBA has been terribly boring the last 10 years where I just can't watch it any more..... even my beloved Lakers.

It kind a reminds me how basketball is played in Europe...... lots of flopping, three guys standing around the three point line waving their arms for the ball, and one guy dribbling the ball around for 15 seconds.

I still haven't got used to the zone defense in pros.... to me that is so high school, and all the touch fouls that are now called.... I really miss the old school NBA style of play.

I don't watch like I used to. The 80's were the most enjoyable. Magic, Bird, Kareem, Dr. J. And a few others. Classic Lakers/Celtics battles. Shaq/Kobe years were enjoyable. Mainly because it was my team winning championships. The Kobe/Pau years were probably a little more enjoyable. With Lebron its different. I don't feel the same about them these days. Maybe Luka will change that.

Same. 80's showtime was the greatest time. Too bad the video back then was so bad. HD what HD? I cheered the Shaq/Kobe threepeat but wasn't the same. I cheered the Kobe/Gasol back to back but still wasn't the same. I'm happy Lebron brought the Lakers another title and I marveled at his play at his age the last couple years but could do without him or his son. The Luka years are on us now. Hope he brings another title. Rams remain my top team where I never miss a game. Fever are 2nd and I can never miss a game with Caitlin Clark playing and even saw them all with her out.

Today's basketball be like: Kick out to 3-point shooters and whoever makes the most wins. Boring. Repetitive. 3-pointers used to be the cherry on top. Now they're a bushel of rotten fruit. With fruit flies buzzing the carcasses.

I hear ya on that, me too. Since cheering them to win the 2020 bubble title (playoff Rondo!!) I have only tuned in to a few selective games here and there. Even though my cable package gets them all even the post game stuff. They come on so darned late on the east. My cable has a feature that saves most pro sports games over the last several years (with no stupid commercials!!!!) so I'll watch a replay on a win, though it ends up being background noise. I'm just not motivated to stay up for a full Lakers game unless they're in the title game.

It’s unwatchable.

-The flopping is a joke

- Too many teams make the playoffs. Nobody should have a playoff spot clinched 1/2 way through the season. There’s no incentive to play all out

- Too many players making “business decisions”.

How is it possible that Adam Silver didn’t know about the games being fixed?

As if there wasn’t enough reason to not watch the NBA.

Adam Silver may indeed be an extra terrestrial. Also, the NBA is exactly how ya'll have described it above. Un. Fucking. Watchable.

I was a Laker fan during the showtime era, so I was spoiled by that experience. Been a Bullets fan since the mid 90s, and that is just a fate I wouldn't wish on anyone....

How did you go from being a Lakers fan to a Bullets/Wizards fan?

I just stopped watching basketball once Lebron became a Laker.

I am from the DC area, so I grew up with the Bullets, but when I became a Rams fan, I decided to also follow the Dodgers and Lakers...that was in like 1978 or so, just in time for some good ball by both of those clubs.

Started rooting for the bullets again in the mid 90s and just stayed with them.... Haven't watched a game of theirs in years tho... They are a terribly run franchise.
