It's been long enough for this not to be a spoiler. I mean fuck,,, everyone should have already watched this by now!!!

Now I gotta be honest. I thought you guys were asking if that guy at the end was the Mandalorian who owned the armour. My oldest son @Ramrasta had to explain it to me this morning. Here's the picture proof that he sent to me...

It's the exact same actor and everything. Wow.

Star Wars buffs will obviously know his name.

I thought we all knew it was Tem? He's technically not playing the same character as when we saw before (same voice though!), but yeah!

my question kinda had to do with the age thing...........

in Episodes I-III , there were like hundred of thousands of clone trooper running around , all clones of Jango Fett , so they all look alike

now , I'm gonna let everyone in on a little secret , math , is NOT my strong suit , and trying to figure out Star Wars timeline math will take someone more knowable then me

but I'm assuming all the clone troopers from Episodes I-III ,with their accelerated aging DNA , would have probably all died off by now

so I'm assuming Boba Fett , was the only clone that didn't have that accelerated aging DNA would be about his age ......or was he

Temuera Morrison is like 60 years old , seems to old for the time line................I think :woozy:

was just wondering if Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni was going to pull a misdirect on this one

I'm pretty sure it's Boba Fett , will be pretty bummed if it's not

The Star Wars timeline is a mess, also because Lucas can't plan his way out of a paper bad. Luke is supposed to be 18(ish) when the original movie kicks off. So there's 18(ish) years between Revenge and the original, but Obi Wan goes from mid thirties to his late 80's and nobody remembers shit about the republic in those 18 years. Imagine everyone treating everything that happened in the 90's and before as myth and legend.

I think there's supposed to be 50 ish years between Return and The Force Awakens, but I could be wrong. I also heard the other day that canonically like was on Dagobah for 18 months or more (I don't remember exactly the number but it was, for a single movie, a long ass time (and this might not be accurate, heard it on the internet)) but that doesn't make sense in the context of Leia's and Han's trip to Cloud City.

I love Star Wars, but it's definitely a turn your brain off and enjoy type of series.

Yeah the timeline is a bit of a mess overall, its best to not think too much into it lol. But if I remember correctly there is about a 37 year difference between episode 1 and return of the jedi. And about 10 years between episode 1 and 2 where Boba Fett first appears. Mandalorian is in Lucasfilm words "about five years after Return of the Jedi". Soooo, Mandalorian is only about 32 years after episode 2. Which would make Boba Fett something like 42ish. So yeah the timeline is a bit off compared to Temuera's age lol. But as mentioned in previous post there's always been some discrepancies to things like that. Been a while since I've watched episode 2 but I remember Jango Fett saying that Boba was part of his agreement to provide his DNA and that he was cloned without the quick aging part.

Anyway, timeline issues aside, the first episode was pretty sweet. Lots of easter eggs from Knight of the Old Republic video game too which I enjoyed. Timothy Olyphant as the Marshall was a nice touch all though he doesn't fill that armor out very much lol. Have been looking forward to this season based on what we know of it. Can't wait to see Rosario Dawson twilek dual wielding. :)

Rosario Dawson cast as Ahsoka Tano is what made me think , maybe , just maybe , Temuera Morrison , isn't playing Boba Fett

and actually playing Rex from The Clone Wars Series

now Disney has confirmed none of this , but lets say the rumors are true , and Ahsoka Tano does show up , could that have been Rex , because Ahsoka Tano likes too hang out with Rex

I thought that cameo at the end might have been Rex , with Ahsoka Tano not far away

Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni throwing us a curve ball

but again , the time line messes things up

he was to old to be Boba Fett and to young to be Rex

unless....................

they were able to stop Rex's accelerated aging process

my money is still on him being Boba Fett

but.............

I'm not a 100% sold on it

I'll actually be pretty bummed if it isn't Boba Fett

Good points, that would be a nice curveball. I know the clones rapidly aged to maturity but did they rapidly age after that? I'm not sure they ever confirmed that the rapid aging thing was continual? I always thought they just aged them to like 25-30 in the process and then they were normal after that. But that's just me assuming things. So who knows.

couple more random thoughts

I liked how Episode 5 , Season 1 and Episode 1 , Season 2 are tied together , but I also liked their titles , the Gunslinger and The Marshal , very classic TV westerns

but I also think the way the Mandalorian escaped the Krayt Dragon was no coincidence , I think it will shadow the way Bota Fett was able to escape the Sarlacc pit

Boba Fett's armor kinda becomes the question now

if that is Boba Fett , how did he loose his armor , did he trade it to the Ewaks ?

does he even want it back ?

I didn't really care for season 2, episode 1 that much. Found it boring. I'll give you the mandalorian armor if you help me kill some gigantic lizard that swims in the dirt. Couldn't the writers of this billion dollar franchise come up with something better? Why not just take it from the dude who stole it? Much easier than dealing with the lizard.

The Marshal didn't steal it , he traded for it fair and square , and the Mandalorian , isn't a murderer or a thief

As far as aging goes, it actually does make sense. This is a plot that takes place across multiple galaxies and they have the ability to travel at light speed. The faster you are traveling, the slower time moves relative to you. This also happens based on the size of the planet. The bigger the planet, the longer the radius of rotation about the axis and the faster you rotate (therefore, time moves slower relative to you).

So technically, unless everyone stayed on the same planet throughout the timeline, then they all should have aged differently.

Another twist, if any of the characters got frozen in carbonite, they wouldnt have aged until they were released.

I don't think Rex has a scar down the middle of his forehead.

Um...I didn't say the Mandalorian stole it, or that he's a murderer.

I think he's saying the Marshall didn't steal it

And Mando didn't kill him to take it because Mando isn't a murderer

But, but, but...I never said he stole it either, and I never said Mando had to kill the Marshall either!

Yes you did :) Well you said he stole it and I'd gather from "take it from the dude" in this universe with these people that you take it off his corpse though it could be taken in other ways.
