Higbee has been a cornerstone of this team for a long time now. It's been great to watch his entire career since he entered the league in 2016. I remember us drafting Gerald Everette the following year and seeing who would emerge... it would obviously being Higbee. He's been arguably the best Rams TE ever. Again, what he means in that locker room is so valuable at this point in his career.. plus, he can still perform pretty well when healthy.
But yes, Ferg looks to be the next great one... he's got speed man.. wow.

After watching his first year in horns I would have disagreed with you here.
Last year's performance has changed that position for me, though.
He did have a couple of key drops late last year, but also made the game winning catch against the cats in the playoffs, among other huge clutch plays.
Trading Parkinson would be for more than just a little cap space, between $7-9m in space. We currently sit with about $14m in cap room. How much is Donald gonna demand. Still got to have at least something in the tank for other potential injuries and so forth. It seems everybody here thinks he is gonna play for the vet min or something, no he aint. Can't really start stacking void years of crazy money to a few other aging stars when we're gonna have a lot of new high priced mouths to feed.
Right, they won't be trading Parkinson, he will be needed for the SB run. He won't be resigned though. He will get a good contract and the Rams will get some compensation. I think they will resign Allen though. He will be relatively cheap. Him along with the 2 draft picks the last 2 years and who knows who, maybe redman or Valari or someone else they draft will fill out the room. Higbee will move into a coaching job.
Regarding Higbee, it would actually cost the Rams to release him ... $5M cap hit if on the Team ... $6M cap hit if he was released. As far as trading him, given Higbee's age and injury issue, don't see any value in return.

They need him around. He's a glue guy. And that wasn't always the case. Higbee grew into that role, and is invaluable to have around the youngsters. And he can still play. He came back slimmer last year and looked really good.
Seems pretty clear that the Rams view this room as a potential difference-maker for them and I doubt we see any move here.

It wouldn't surprise me if Higbee retired in a few days/weeks
I like his vet presence. Higs, Staff, Donald, Garrett, McDuffie and DAdams mentoring the young bucks.
Picked him up off waivers in a Dynasty league a couple of weeks ago.
I had to pinch myself twice cuz I didn't think it was real. Slammed the add button and blew about 1/3 of the off-season FAAB.
Agreed.
Still not sure how or why he was available...but then again, not my problem.
