Yeah - as much as I don't like the Chargers sharing our city and stadium, I also don't get this level of love for the potential failings of the Charger organization. I might find it humorous and great that the Chargers certainly look to be locking down the red headed step son role in LA but to this level?![]()
:deadhorse:
I am really unclear how this makes him your hero. I have been a Rams fan for over 50 years. At NO time did I ever root against them. And the LAST thing doing that would make someone is some kind of hero to me.
Not from anything I have seen or heard. Even the last season when attendance was low as most people knew the Rams would be leaving, that dome was LOUD as hell during the game we went to and clearly pro Rams. I have seen people talking about there being more bears fans at a couple games but not by the sound of the crowd when the Rams were on defense.
And just so you know. It is never going to be looked highly upon if you want to start bagging on St Louis fans. Many of them have showed more allegiance than you apparently did when the Rams left LA. It's not a path you want to take.

I’m only going to respond that the guys involved in the bring back the Rams campaign still cheered for the Rams from what I watched. They didn’t root against the TEAM.To each his own on rooting for a team they loved that leaves you.People who want to still follow the team after it leaves them,I dont agree with that and will never understand it but thats their perogative and I respect that. For a team that is not called LOS ANGELES Rams,I just cant bring myself to root for because the CITY attached to the name is the identity. For the people in st louis who still follow them, they obviously dont agree with that but thats fine,i think its great they want to keep following them.
Myself and Bill Mcdonald are not the only Ram fans out there obviously who feel this way.I have spoken to many LA folks who are long residents there for decades over at the Bring The Rams Back to LA site who live out there in LA who they also same as me and Mcdonald, could not bring themselves to root for the Rams after they left them because as Mcdonald said so well, its like a woman you love so much dearly that you devote your life and was faithful to who stabs you in the back and leaves you for another man.Its the most depressing moment you can go through.
The other LA people i have talked with i mentioned,i dont consider them my heros by any means rooting against them like they did only because they are not famous as mcdonald is.LOL Mcdonald IS my hero because he is a famous celebrity in LA i can refer to who has the same thinking of me i can refer to where the others i know, nobody knows who they are same as nobody knows who me or you are.LOL . I mean i am guessing at least, your the same as me,not a celebrity, just any regular person who walks the streets in America same as me right? LOL
Mcdonald is my hero because when I say others out there same as me,i can use him,a CELEBRITY of someone i am in good company with.where the others on the net i have spoke with over the years, nobody would have a clue who i am talking about you see?
the people from st louis who want to keep cheering them on,thats great.I love it that they are able to remain fans of them, thats their perogative to do so.I'll never get that but I can respect it just like I expect people here to respect MY feelings for not cheering them on and losing complete interest in the NFL after they left. If they dont play in LA,they arent the Rams to me .As far as the Rams time in st louis of attendance? I dont question that at all that the place was loud.I went there to st louis twice to see games when they were right down the street from me in kansas city here. Just because it was loud, doesnt mean they were greatly supported there though.Domes have a way of being louder than outdoor stadiums.
The two times I was there was the first time was about 10 years ago,I only went since some I had some friends that used to live in SF that were niner fans who went to the game, they had a free ticket for me and welcomed me to come along so I decided what the hell? The game was a ghostown,a stadium that was half empty with mostly niner fans there. The second time? Was their last season there for the home opener against the Seahawks.same story.Despite the fact this was a team that had been to the superbowl back to back,I had no problems whatsoever getting a good seat up close up front.LOL I estimated there were about 25,000 fans there and 15,000 of them were seahawk fans.
I also have friends out there in st louis who when they were horrible those first four years they were there before the warner/faulk days,it was easy as pie to get good seats there the times they went to see games.I soon found out what they were talking about when in the 97 season when I went over to my aunts house who was a chiefs fan,i watched that game with her and sure enough, just as my friends all told me,the stadium was half empty and pretty much everywhere they did show the fans at the game,it was mostly chiefs fans, they took over the place same as they have in carson the past two years. You could hear constant loud roars anytime the chiefs did something great and few rams fans cheering when the rams scored. same exact story when i saw the niners game ten years ago or so.
The last year the rams were in st louis.the stadium was constantly a ghosttown all the time.chargers and raiders were VERY well supported though.that is WHY the Rams was the only team that was justified in leaving especially considering their history on the west coast.
If you dont get the love, dont understand how they love it t how spanos has shown the WORLD what a moron he was in the move, then I dont know what to tell you.To me and many other SD residents and even others who are not even charger fans, its comical as hell their failings out there..:yay::rolllaugh:
ball:
They mighty 1090 they feel the same way that most SD fans do out there but not to their extremes. They were saying before the chargers moved that if they left and went to LA,they would still be able to follow them and root them on when Rivers was there and tune into them each sunday for that, but after that, after rivers retired, each sunday, they would have no interest in following the chargers after that.I totally get that.makes perfect sense to me.ball:
Um no on having road games in St. Lou other than a few years.
Say what you want about the moves of the Rams. But don't think for a second that St. Louis fans didn't support the Rams by a large majority in the Dome at all times. You are just Wrong on that front.
Im just going by what SEVERAL people from the Bring The Rams back to LA site have told me when i used to post there all time back in 2014 and 15 on the Rams coming back to LA,They unlike me,still followed them and went to games out there over the years and that was what i always got from them was from what they told me of their experiences.
Plus i was there the last year they were in st louis playing against the seahawks for the home opener,a team that had been to back to back superbowls no less, and what i saw,it looked like 25,000 people were there with only 10,000 or so being ram fans. plus when i went ten years ago,a game against the niners, same story, mostly niner fans in the mostly empty stadium. Friends i have in st louis told me as well the first four years or so they were there,it was very easy to get tickets to ram games out there. from what i saw the two times i went there and the people at the BBTLAR site have all told me,doesnt sound like it to me. I guess some times they were, many times they were not.doest matter now especially since this thread is about the CHARGERS bombing in LA.![]()

Sure they wanted them back. Who could blame them?
But I have met many Rams fans from St Louis. They loved their team. I can’t really blame them for not physically going to games with the product being put on the field anymore than I would blame LA fans for not wanting to spend all the money BEYOND ticket prices to see a 1-15 or 4-12 team back to back to back.
The Chargers are in LA. It’s done for now. But I hope they move back for the SD fans who loved their team and did a pretty good job of supporting them.
SD has possibly the best weather in the entire world. So I will give a little slack to having thousands of opposing fans show up. Hell - I would far rather go to SD to watch a game than Las Vegas. But that’s me. I don’t like Las Vegas and I love the SD area.
My quote stands.
yeah like i said,it needs to get back to the topic of the CHARGERS bombing in LA.
