Did you guys see Gurley's locker room interview? Man.... he's seems like he's half a tick from going off on the reporters. Just about every interview this year he just seems that he can't be bothered by them. Seems very short and tense with his responses.
He has never really been a good interview as far as the press. He gives a better interview on 21st and Prime, or even NFL network. But he does not care for the media, I love the way he tries to trivialize the shit they ask him about. Like today, "Its just a catch, really, its football". That was a hell of a catch on a dime of a pass.

Was at the game today. First time I have ever been to a game the Rams won. What a game. A few things that stood out watching it from the stands.

First off, Fowler was a Monster. Really disruptive, almost had 4 sacks, had a huge tackle for a loss, and really took advantage, and made the Falcons pay for doubling Donald.

Obo, while I don't know if he got any stats, he flashed when he was on the field. Couple times, he got in the backfield quick, and had some nice PR Moves.

Hill played a really good game.

Ramsey for sure changes our defense exactly how I hoped he would. We played WAY MORE Man coverage today.

D held the falcons to 3 points until the backups came in the last 5-6 Min. That is pretty impressive. The Atlanta Offense has been rolling all year.

Aaron Donald is a beast. We all know that, but he just jumps out at you live. I watched the Chris long interview and was very impressed, especially where he was talking about when Seattle hit him out of bounds and he lost his temper. He said he had to be better than that in those situations. Today he was. He just picked Freeman up. Never swung, didn't get kicked out. But again, he is something. He grabs my attention like Lawrence Taylor used to. Guys like that change how you watch the game.

Edwards looked good. He started off really strong. Missed some assignments in the 2nd half, but overall, I was very impressed for a Rookie in his first start. Hope he keeps trending up.

Henderson had some nice runs.

It looked like they were making a big effort to make Everett a big part of the game plan. Goff was really close to hooking up with him a bunch of times, and if they get that down, this offense will be much tougher to defend.

Woods is such a team guy, and exactly what you want in a receiver. He never takes a play off, and is such a great blocker.

Christian looked like he had a pretty good game.

Ramsey seems to already fit in with the players and coaches.

Blythe seemed like he had another tough day. I will have to watch the game on TV, but several times his guy hit our RBs in the backfield.

Hav seemed to have a better game, but I am not sure if that is just because he wasn't facing a speed rusher.

Gurley's catch in the corner of the endzone was beautiful. What a great catch, especially for a Running Back.

Goff broke #45's ankle on his touchdown run. He had some shake today. LOL

Littleton's Int was sweet, just a great, quick reaction. That boy can play.

I have never been to a game with a fake punt. That was really cool.

Jojo was really close to breaking that punt return for a TD at the end of the half. But a really fun, exciting return. However, his first punt return scared the crap out of me. What was he thinking?

The Punt/Fumble/Touchdown was awesome. That returner got lit up by 3 or 4 guys before he finally fumbled. I couldn't tell who recovered it, but it looked like it was Darious Williams.

I kept seeing Rapp all over the field. Box Score says he had 5 Tackles, but it seemed like more.

If this is what the Pass D looks like now, imagine with John Johnson back.

Run blocking on the right side of the O-Line has to get better.

Overall, what a game. Man that stadium was empty by the middle of the 3rd Qtr.

After the game was over, some guy in Rams jersey comes running out of the restroom yelling "Whose House? RAMS HOUSE" swinging his arms around like a complete lunatick. My wife and I were cracking up. It didn't seem to make any of the Falcon's fans laugh.

That was the first time I have been to the stadium. It is nice. I don't think it will hold a candle to Stan's little project in LA, but it is a really nice stadium.

Oh, and one other thing. Ramsey came up and delivered a big hit to cause a fumble. It was refreshing to see after watching our old #22 shy away from contact.

I only followed the game thru espn gamecast and NFL redzone. So my I have questions on from my limited visual evidence.

Running game still stinks. Is that on any particular interior OLman?

How did Ramsey look tackling? I am so glad we don’t have to see Peters on roller skates anymore.

Did any of the new young guys stand out on defense?

Why so many incompleted passes to Everett? I am glad they didn’t stop throwing to him but jeez....

Running game... Atlanta sold out against the run. That and we keep getting caught with a DL/LB simply getting upfield the instant a guard pulls. It's a key. If a guard starts to pull, just blast upfield. That's still gonna need work, but we did have some success on the ground.

Ramsey was a beast. Forced a fumble and guys went down.

Reeder had a better game. Littleton balled out. Fowler took advantage of the Atlanta triple teamed AD...who still got a sack. Ramsey was amazing and Troy Hill and Darious Williams played well insofar as the Falcons had something like 150 yards passing.

The passes to Everett were the difference between practice timing and game timing. Goff was just missing him long as a result of getting jammed/chucked at the LOS. but they figured it out.

Run blocking was still awful in general. I'm hoping Edwards turns out to be a pro bowl G though.

If you look at the breakdowns, I saw more scheme issues (still) than execution issues.

One of the keys DL are taking is that if a Rams interior OL pulls, GET UP FIELD NOW!!! The ball carrier is likely just right there...and that wasn't fixed today.

However, McVay is using the TE more and got Gurley going in the pass game which are both very important.

Edwards played a whale of a game his first game.

McVay still has some scheme things to work out, but today was so much better execution wise that the remaining scheme deficiencies weren't a problem.

I didn't get to watch the game live so I can't offer a take. I'll watch the tape in the next day or two. It'll be easier to watch knowing the outcome.

I think it's hilarious the narrative the media takes about how awful the Falcons are and dismissing the Rams victory as a gimme.

I get it the Falcons blow but they still have put up a ton of points and a qb passing it like a machine and yet the Rams dealing with their own injuries mostly in the secondary and maybe 50% to 75% of jalen Ramsey shut it all down in Atlanta passing running sacks turnovers etc.

I hope this team continues to hang in maybe acquire one more offensive lineman but Edwards looked good today but I'd like to get a big hog to take Blythes job and also see how they play with JJ a fresh Talib a fresh clay Matthews and most importantly a well acclimated Ramsey.

Well, fresh Talib and Matthews. I'm almost certain JJ is done for the year.

I like exciting football games. But I love blowouts!
Especially when we are blowing out our opponent. Vice Versa--not so much. Ramsey is one of the best CBs I have seen in a long time. And Fowler is in a league of his own.
Goff was much better this week in spite of some blown opportunities. He'll improve; i love the guy. And he didn't turn the ball over either. Keep it up, Jared. You're still one of the best in the game.

I/m glad we won but still it was the Falcons. Our run offense was almost non-existent (36 totes for 90 yards) and our pass offense was just OK. This against a very bad Falcon defense.

Our D played quite well. That was the story of the game. I think our Oilne is still an issue.

Unfortunately couldn’t watch the game today, but I’d love to know, how was the OL overall? Was Edwards an upgrade?
Looked a bit shaky at the beginning of the game but as the game wore on, he looked quite good at his position.

@Mackeyser is he really??? I still haven't heard anything about his injury that says that. Man I hope not bro

Well, it's just a matter of the logistics, not really knowing the injury.

The Rams have less than two weeks to designate the DTR players.

JJ still hasn't even had the surgery, yet. The surgeon never knows what they're going to find until they get there, so they Rams aren't going to DTR a player who hasn't even had their surgery.

Lastly, it's a shoulder surgery for a safety... so there's very little chance unless it was just a scope that he's ready in 4-5 weeks and considering he is still a few weeks from GETTING the surgery, it's just the timeline.

If it weren't super serious, they wouldn't have IR'd him.

If it is more serious and if it were possible to get him back, they'd have gotten him the surgery right away to maximize healing and rehab.

Neither has happened which tells me that after they got that 2nd opinion, the Rams were pretty clear JJ wasn't coming back and they probably are working on getting the swelling down to optimize the efficacy of the surgery and have him back at 100% for next season.

They don't have to declare anything, but yeah, wouldn't surprise me at all to hear shortly that he's done for the season. I'm just not sure how it could be anything else.

Man, Goff and Everett are so close. If those two get on the same page, they're going to be a lethal combination. The deep balls are literally inches from being completions. McVay needs to keep featuring Everett. Defenses are struggling mightily to account for him with the other skill players on the field.

Our D played quite well. That was the story of the game. I think our Oilne is still an issue.

Part of that was that the Atlanta D was intent on selling out to stop the run AND there are still literal schematic holes in our blocking scheme and how it pairs up with the play call.

Basically, the runner is given the ball very near where the guard is pulling FROM. Well, the easy way to get a TFL is to queue the DL that if an OL pulls, just sprint upfield and every single time they did that, they seemed to get or should have gotten a TFL.

At the very least, they need to put the runner in a different space or make it easier on the C because you're not going to have enough time for the C to get to that guy, DL or LB, if he's basically in a full out, untouched sprint upfield toward the RB.
