I agree with all of this.
However. It's not as though Rodgers has nothing to work with.
As
@Elmgrovegnome pointed our. He has a top WR in Adam's, a solid run game and possibly the best oline in the NFL.
They also got rid of McCarthy and now include Rogers in the playbook and gameplan.
They should bring in more on the pass catching side, but It's not all bad for Rodgers.
It's just not good enough to win a championship. Adams is very good but he's the only real playmaker.
The point is that, like TB with Brady, you make sure a HOF qb has the weapons. Because there is no football commodity as rare and difficult to find as a championship, HOF qb at the top of his game.
Especially one like Rodgers who can make ordinary receivers look like pro bowlers because of his ability to read the defense, move in the pocket, and make every throw with velocity and best ever accuracy. Brady isn't even in that conversation.
Same principle applies to Stafford and the Rams. (No, I'm not saying Stafford is as good as Rodgers, but he's a playmaker with a big arm.) It's not as though Stafford had nothing to work with... but if you really want to try to win the playoffs, get him a couple of serious deep threats.
McVay gets it. Packers GM doesn't.
If Rodgers had Chase Claypool imo they would have gone to the Super bowl. Big fast receiver who can really go up and get the ball (9 tds, 873 yards for Pittsburgh.) Basically a guaranteed big play target who cannot be defended when playing with a qb who can put the ball anywhere on a dime.
Having another playmaker would have made Rodgers unstoppable. Instead they picked Love to warm the bench until they pushed Rodgers out the door.
