GB knew they couldn't trade him to just anyone. If Aaron didn't want to go there he would retire and it would still be on GB's dime as the trade would never be consummated. This whole thing is really on Rodgers who IMO never had any intention of playing this year. He just wanted to shade the organization making it look like they forced him out. What a douche!
Do you know what his beef is? He wants the team president fired!! Hello? What total BS. We aren't talking GM or FO or coaches. Rodgers felt slighted by the team president and conjured up this whole hissy fit.
He will retire next week and make it look like the team forced him out. A total scum bag not caring about his team mates or fans. Like it has always been, it' all about Rodgers and his overblown ego. LMFAO
Now IMO Detroit with Goff is laughing like hell. They now have the best QB in the division. The division crown is wide open. The Bears have a rookie, Cousins with the Vikings has only had one good season in his career where he won 10 games in 2019. He was 7-9 last year. Detroit has a franchise-level center in Ragnow, spent a first-round pick for RT Sewell this year, a 4th round pick for RG Stenberg in 2020, LG Jackson in the 3rd round in 2020, and a very good LT in Decker. Remember Holmes was here when the current Rams OL was drafted so he knows what he's doing.
Yeah, Aaron crapped all over the franchise that made his career, so what does he do but fart in their faces saying thanks for nothing. I'm sorry, but no matter what the slight by the president was, it's classless to treat his teammates and fans that way. That franchise gave him the opportunity to have a HOF career and it's totally classless to treat them that way.
It's the same reason there is no way I see Snead and Kroenke signing Gurley after all the shade he tossed at the Rams since leaving. Why would they open themselves up to more next year when he gets cut again? From someone I know who is an Atlanta fan, but lives in LA he's nowhere near what he was in 2018 or even 2019. It's why he's a FA now. The speed, elusiveness and power are gone. Had he left with grace I'm sure they might consider him now, but he burnt that bridge last year.
Gurley is another who should retire. Last year proved he's done.
